Re: towns stuff
Size, mainly. I mean, I love my little plot in Corinth and all, but it's only 9x9 or so. That's big enough for one room. Not even a room. A closet, really. I don't often build things, but when I do, I like to do so on a grand scale. 50x50 is a minimum for me. That's enough for a good 9 rooms or so, ...

(and the already dead ones would never be seen again, because let's face it, who wants to walk all the way to Borderpost to look around when you'll just have to walk all the way back afterward?) That's just it though. I started playing on the server in ver3. At the time, there were no major rails, no warping between worlds, nothing. Because there didn't need to be. There were no worlds to warp to, and since everyone lived on the ver3 map, no real reason to need rails. You had your main buil...

We are also looking at options for a faster than minecart travel, but it won't be an instant /gs portal as you are used to. Will the proposed "faster-than-minecart" travel be available from any location, or just from small number of predetermined access points? If it's from anywhere (or close to an...

Re: Easy mode, Hard mode, lets do it!
That's just it though wokka. Not everyone lives in or near cities. If you want a good bit of land for building something, you're pretty much forced to go far away from the cities to build. Everything I've worked on is miles from the nearest city (not to mention the nearest neighbor). The same can be...

Re: Easy mode, Hard mode, lets do it!
Honestly, the difficulty could go to Normal without much change, but that's really a non-issue. As long as it stays below hard (so you can't starve to death), It shouldn't matter. What should is groupspawn. Removing that has a pretty big disadvantage. 1- There is a hub you HAVE to pass through to ge...

I can't seem to use the mouse in most of the menus. Anyone know how to fix this? It's really annoying having to navigate them via arrows. In the menu (I think it's somewhere under gameplay or controls, not exactly sure) there's an option called something along the lines of "controller mode" Xbox 36...

(Or at least put me in the drawing for building the room! I've got a new compact sorting machine design I'd like to put to good use =P )

Hey, It's me! Ok, so here's the deal. By the Lucky 38, I've got a little town area setup. Only I haven't had time to work on it, and have pretty much decided to give up on it. Right now, it's just a few marked 10x10 (or maybe 15x15, I forget) plots and a little shack for spare resources. So, would y...

The only gun I can recommend is a handgun, so you won't be able to purchase one for a few more years. (Then again, all the rifles I've ever fired aren't the best in the world. I've been going to the range firing mostly the same handgun for the past 7 years or so with my dad, so my opinion on the mat...

That's odd. In Chrome, even after clearing data, the new logo shows up for a few seconds but quickly changes back to the old one.

I never could drink energy drinks. If I really need to be woken up, I get a nice cup of coffee with 4 shots of espresso. Not that it helps much, but it'll get me through my early morning calculus class at least.

Well, there's always the "cause a baby boom 9 months from today" option.
But honestly, when out power was out, we got out the generator. It's always good to have a generator.
(Um... get out the nerf guns, I guess? That's what I did until our generator was working last time)

Well, I just changed mine from the old ugly "blocky helmet guy in a suit" to a new one. I downloaded a skeleton skin for the face, then pretty much did the rest by hand. It's a revenant from Doom. Now if only there was a santa hat item, I'd be able to match my avatar... http://i51.tinypic.com/sxhjz5...

Also, keep in mind that there are two standardized tests used to get into US schools. You may very well find it easier to score higher on the ACT than the SAT. I know I did, at least.
Here's a quick reference.

It's a very nice house... and the neighbors are the best of the best! ;) I would bid on it, but my two plots next door already serve all my human cloning lab needs... Still, it's a great spot in Corinth, and has a very nice design indoors. Very convenient for storage, and resistant to even my bigges...

Re: What does your (Minecraft) house say about you?
Well, I don't really build houses. I have one in Briarton for storage purposes, but it follows my typical embassy design- a circular building with a glass dome on top and a rooftop garden, with a rather large basement. It's a bit too small for an embassy though, due to plot size. However, I have bui...

Re: Large, mostly flat area
If the project doesn't involve any digging, like building a giant statue or something, there is no better spot than an iced over ocean. That's by far the largest flat area you're going to find that's ready for building on. If you require any basements though, you're going to need to do a LOT of work...
