Well, I have decided to make a mob tower and I need a lot of materials. First of all, I need lots of cobble. About 6 - 10 stacks. Next, I need lava buckets. Then, I need glass. Last, I need wood probably about 2 stacks of planks. I am willing to trade iron, glowstone, netherrack, gold, paper, cake, wheat, etc. (I might have one or two diamonds I'd be willing to trade.) 6-10 stacks of cobble? I expect you'll need a lot more than that for a decent tower. Message me if you see me on the server and I'll donate a chest full or two, I have way more of the stuff than I could ever use.

well, if your going to the trouble. You may want to just make it out of pretty materials, plus I am making a third tower on my trap, an I use 11 stacks of cobble and 40 coal, (for melting walls into smooth stone.) per floor. 6 stacks is not nearly enough. And to compete with others, you will need to go bigger than that. (Thats why I'm adding a third tower)

The only bad thing is that I can't find anywhere to build it. In futureshift, there's no lag, but no mobs. In Escapia, there's mobs, but horrible lag. In Fyra, horrible lag. (Not sure about mobs.)

There are mobs in fyra, and it is a good idea to build there, with no other towers to compete with for mob spawns. So good luck if you choose to do that.

I'll try, but I HATE building in areas that have lag. (especially when I'm using lava)

There is horrible lag everywhere. If your gonna build the tower, you will have to get over lag one way or another.

Its all becuase escapia has gotten so popular. Hopefully the hardware will get an upgrade sometime. And if lag is a huge issue, play when nobody else is on. I play around 2 am Pacific time on weekends and I get no lag (except my PC freezing up).

This thread reminded me I need to build the darkroom and grinder for my fortress. It won't be very productive, but it will do for my purposes. I'm trying to make it as self-sufficient as possible.
