Need help with a ship

My project I've been working on for the last couple of weeks will have a dock as it's main entry point, and I want at least one decent sized ship in it. I've tried ship building in SP, and failed admirably.
The ship needs to be about as big as the Terra was-a-shipwreck-but-now-isn't spawn area. Also, I am the poorest project builder on the planet (no diamonds, only 20 iron ingots, no gold) so I need the ship to be free...
Let me know if you can, and perhaps post a pic of your previous shipbuilding work. The docks aren't even started yet, so I'll let you know when I'm ready.
