AMA - LS13 Version

Hello there, I'm LS13 aka the God of Ice here at Escapecraft! Decided to jump in and make an AMA of my own, which stands for Ask Me Anything, so go ahead! Shoot me a question, if it is too ridiculous I'll probably still answer it.

Is your band wagon made of oak wood or ash lumber?

I'd have to go with oak.

But why not ash lumber?

Because oak. But if I wasn't confined to a type of lumber I would definitely have an ice wagon.

If you could change 3 things about Minecraft what would they be?

I don't personally possess any spoons.
Tulonsae wrote:If you could change 3 things about Minecraft what would they be?
cause
I would add more detail to the model for steve so that skins could be more complex, would add ice arrows cause that would be amazing, and i would reduce lag caused by lighting calculations so that my 90 bridges of lag could make a return without causing the huge lag spikes they used to cause.

Well, considering that this is a thread for others to ask questions, it seems fair to assume you just forgot the question mark.

Why does MrWhales smell so bad?
Furthermore, who let him into the krill supplies?

He is a whale, and whales live in the ocean, therefore he smells like fish because he is around them so much. It's like how your clothes will smell like cigarette smoke if you live in a house with someone who smokes a bunch.

I'm not sure, but I'm going to give the order to shoot whoever did on sight. Took us the entire shrimping season to get that shrimp, now how are we going to feed our loved ones back home once we get back from shrimping?!

Stickied, cause its a staff one, and no, if you aren't mod or higher, no sticky for you.
Question for you LS, what is the #1 thing you would change with Escapecraft if you were wokka?

Unrealistic thing: I would reduce time between when Minecraft updates and when the server updates. Unfortunately this is insane to do because our admins already work hard to get updates out and the number of plugins we have to wait on to update is pretty big.
Realistic: I would implement the graveyards and take away /gs asap in order to put emphasis on cities. I personally think cities are a really fun way to play Minecraft, and it's depressing to see one die because the players have no incentive to stay once they have built a handful of creations in that city.

I wouldn't want that at all, screws over every single person who DOESN'T want to live in a city.
Anyways, a question. What mod, if any, would you implement into vanilla minecraft?

I think it would be nice if WorldEdit was a vanilla option for ssp creative, it is super powerful and makes creations that could take weeks to complete in smp take just a few days to finish.

What do you think of the concept that the Minecraft community will be the ones updating and carrying Minecraft on into the future once API support has been added because the Minecraft team is running out of ideas to implement themselves. Also what would you like to see added or changed? I personal think they dropped the ball on the mine carts and could have made the mine cart system better and more efficient.

I think the API system will definitely lead to more mods being easily available, but I don't think the community will take over updates. Maybe if a mod becomes so popular that most people install it, but as to the actual vanilla Minecraft i don't think it is a possibility. As for things to add, I would love to see more diversity in tools, weapons, and armor, and I agree that minecarts need improvement.

Hard one cause I like so much... at the moment I'm really enjoying a high school band in the Houston area called Torn Tuxedos. They sound as good if not better than most popular artists without using any editing at all, plus they manage to pull off a variety of different genres.

Here's a link to their album on itunes so you can preview their original songs (spoilered in case someone decides to be a smart ass and say no advertising):
Found them when I went to a local production of Legally Blonde the musical, and the lead singer was one of the main characters while the other three band members were the live music.
