Rocketjump just put out a proof of concept video for a 90 minute Minecraft film they're looking to make.

Apparently they didn't run it by Notch first. Poor planning on their part, but I'm surprised it was enough of an issue to see the whole project cancelled. Mojang are usually pretty cool with people using their IP for derivative works.
