Any good seeds for SP?
I got one that i LOVE its called glacier i have screenshots of my house and ill post them later on but have you guys found any sick seeds? if so post em here
Re: Any good seeds for SP?
I found one! Type in 'Notch' and the seed creates vast plains and rolling hill perfect for building big castles or cute villages!
It needs to be about, 20% cooler.
Re: Any good seeds for SP?
The spawn is still random, right? So the seed could be insanely useless, as other people won't spawn in the same sexy spot.
Re: Any good seeds for SP?
The spawn is the same. I've tried one, 666, at school and at home. Same.Furdabip wrote:The spawn is still random, right? So the seed could be insanely useless, as other people won't spawn in the same sexy spot.

Using the same seed to generate two separate worlds will generate the same terrain consistently, even on different systems. As such, seeds can be shared by players to generate the same world between them. However, the player's initial spawn point will be random; it is not tied to the seed value. ~ MinecraftWiki

Re: Any good seeds for SP?
I heard that the name decides where you spawn.
So if I name my file 'Blackadder's Addicted to TNT', and put my seed as 'BOOM', I'd spawn in the same place as if I did the same on another computer. I haven't actually tested it, so I dunno if it's true, but I saw somewhere...

'Coke' generates some cool beaches with lots of islands

Re: Any good seeds for SP?
In my tests the spawn is random but only within 100 blocks or so. I used the same seed 3 times. Two spawns were within a few blocks of each other, and the 3rd was just over a small hill.

Randomly, I tried "Charlie Sheen" and got a world that was full of snow... snow is white... like a certain other substance Charlie Sheen abuses... I lul'ed. ![Very Happy :-D](./images/smilies/icon_e_biggrin.gif)

Do the seed 7772895. I can't get it to spawn me in the same spot, but it has cooler cliffs and hills than "Glacier". Check it out!
Re: Any good seeds for SP?
This is a very cool seed, I've used it twice.Fuzz422365118 wrote:Try the seed 17171717171717
Also, concerning spawns. I've looked into this and you usually spawn in the same general area, but once every so often you'll spawn in the middle of nowhere. I'm not sure what it is in the algorithm that determines the spawnpoint, and I'm not going to try and find out, but that's what I know.

Unless it only happens on particular seeds, I have used the same one several times and I always spawn in a different location.
