http://www.weekendofminecraft.net/ this is a live steam event with over 70,000 unique viewers and famous minecraft people yogscast and more they have a private server and public server and is on for over 39 hours with prizes.
This will be on the 1st - 4th July

I like how they're hosting their event during "skittles week" if you catch my drift.
