Time to move everything underwater.

Alternatively, pull a vallorn, and turn everything into lava.

I was thinking of something more along the lines of a mob that is safe from lava and can wreck your stuff Vall XD
Just swims in and starts messing your things up with a fury of lava.

Has anyone else noticed that they don't seem to react all the time when you look at them?

I've only observed a teleport and attack twice out of several attempts to provoke a response by simply looking. Hitting them works every time of course.
Shouting "teabag him" during any death-scene in Saving Private Ryan is a practice generally frowned upon.

You look at them for like a second then turn away. Although i did get cornered in a mineshaft with them brushing past me because i was just looking straight down

Yes, this is what they should do... but at the current moment they seem broken and do no do any hostile moves against you if you look at them... they just ignore you until you attack them.
Hopefully this gets fixed...
