Re: The Subways
I am making decent headway on the subway map here
http://www.escapecraft.net/phpBB3/viewt ... f=5&t=2905
I just have a couple questions. Why is there a DinoTown stop? Why is it labeled North Station on your map? When can we expect ERTA stations to be functioning normally? is Tehbeards mod necessary for the types of stations these are? I understand his concept but the simple station to station concept works very well for right now so I see no reason not to have these stations operational. I am more than willing to pitch in and help get them working but I am low on resources after building my subway line in the west (the orange line on my map)
also of note, just found this while plotting for corinth. all trains inbound to corinth simply skip the corinth stop because of the way the station was setup. the stops were put in backwards so carts simply continue on rather than going to the cart collector.

Re: The Subways
because its not the dinotown station... its there so there is a stop at the north edge of spawn for people to use easily. and realy? Dinotown? i built that with my own materials...ryn44 wrote:I am making decent headway on the subway map here

when i poke Beard into finishing the system and doing a list of the /st stations.
yes. this means faster trips with fewer stops.
please stick to your own line. the Core Line is mine and Beards to look after.

Re: The Subways
random, if you look at the map I am making I was also planning on shooting the orange line up from Draconax to the Solar City Stop and connecting there, plus we have that renovation of the line in talks right now. I am hoping to make that my next project.random980 wrote:Val. when were you going to get around to connecting your line to my one that runs along saphiri-solar-blackthorn?
Re: The Subways
I posted this in the other subways thread, but I'll post it here as well since it's important I find someone to finish this.
This is a map of the "Southern Extension" of the Red Line:
http://i.imgur.com/gtoSY.jpg
The light red line is subway that is completely finished and under the jurisdiction of vallorn/tehbeard.
The dark red line is subway that is currenty unfinished, is under my jurisdiction, but I think I will give it up to someone who has the time and will to finish it. The tunnels are done for it, and some track laid, but someone with much more skill could take this over and get it finished within a day's work.
The stations on the lines are the dots:
Light Green = Corinth Main
Dark Blue = Fort Itl
Purple = Vault 88
Yellow = Talvelat
Light Blue = Kestle Lands and the Southern Safety Tower
Pink = Sanctum
Orange = Borderpost
If someone wants to take charge on the southern subway project, please contact me. I have so many projects in EC that I've neglected that subway for far too long. The tunnels are dug, some track is laid, some stations are made. I can help supply tracks and tnt if needed.

If we shoot the orange line up from Draconax to Solar. This would somewhat render the West Saphiri station useless. With the west Saphiri station gone and having to go through draconax to get to Solar, walking may become faster. (somewhat ironic).
I think we should demo the West Saphiri station and extend the yellow line to connect to the red Saphiri station. Also the yellow line is only meant connects to USSR towns. (cascade, solar, saphiri, cottonmouth castle and Bodrum) Maybe make the orange line shoot up, past Solar (not connecting), to Argentia then go across to Darkend. Can the name of the yellow line also please be name-changed to the USSR elevated railway?
Vall, i will need your help to dig a tunnel to connect the yellow line to saphiri station.

Re: The Subways
I can certainly respect your wishes not to connect to the yellow line (I will change the name on the map) but I was really hoping to make traveling along the lines easier by making these types of connections. Connecting to the red line in saphiri would definitely achieve this too so I kind of dig that idea. who runs argentia? i went there yesterday and it seems like nobody is ever there anymore. I am not sure what I will do with the orange line next then, probably run it east from my complex to connect to art park and fort ITL so I will get on talking to those people and then focus on that and the southern part of the red line that isn't on the map yet. I really want to connect to darkend but it's such a long way away and again the problem I am having is lack of resources. we will see what the future holds but for now I will scrap plans to connect orange at Solar City. Also I would like to say I would propose NOT destroying the "West Saphiri" station and simply connecting through to the Saphiri Station. Some people may see it as an annoyance to have two stops so close together but I think it might be rather nice to have that quick connect from inside Saphiri to right outside.random980 wrote:Looking at your map:ryn44 wrote:random, if you look at the map I am making I was also planning on shooting the orange line up from Draconax to the Solar City Stop and connecting there, plus we have that renovation of the line in talks right now. Does this metro system have the theoretical capacity to support and house the server's population in the event of a nuclear winter?

Ok ill leave the west saphiri station standing, and today ill work on the platforms. ill work on connecting the 2 saphiri lines if i can get to vallorn. Also go look up the Argentia thread on the forums. you can find the leaders (and a soap opera) there.ryn44 wrote: I can certainly respect your wishes not to connect to the yellow line (I will change the name on the map) but I was really hoping to make traveling along the lines easier by making these types of connections. Re: The Subways
Since Atlanis is/will be connected to the subwaynetwork, I would say we have the capacity to house about 140 people. Vault88 has space to house people, too. I think the serverstaff and it's minions are safeBeltom wrote:Does this metro system have the theoretical capacity to support and house the server's population in the event of a nuclear winter?

Argentia is worhless, i started there wenn i first came to this server and it at that time was holding onle 4 residence including me, atm mayor is very inactive and co-mayor moved away to start his own settlement, anybody else wo lived there just moved on and in the meantime a lot of its structures have bin creepered or griefed, if i where u i shouldn't even try such a waste of recourses.random980 wrote:Ok ill leave the west saphiri station standing, and today ill work on the platforms. ill work on connecting the 2 saphiri lines if i can get to vallorn.
