Leaving Global and OT

I, nart, will continue my regular daily regimens of daily escapian life but will not be part of the Global and OT channels for the majority of the time. If one needs me one can simply pm on server or here.
I will join Global when on rail duty, which I will report to regularly to benefit Escapia.
My reasons are simple: I am not a fan of repetitive meme usage, nor am I a fan of brash immature humor/statements. I also tire of repeating myself to new players who have been 'new' for three days.
written after a long, bad day, - nart.

Fair enough. I'm always on /g or /ot, but due to my projects, I'm never paying attention to the chat...

Are you in charge of rail systems besides the Shibuya Imperial City Station? I say that because if thats all you have, people SHOULD request any teleports or Conductor assistance to Imperial City through that channel (and as well new people and reoccurring people should be instructed about the IC Channel's existence and use). I mean thats why we have the channels, to cut down on the chat clutter now, and what its going to get a lot worse in the future.
Me personally, sometimes I turn OT off and ignore global when its just spewing random nonsense and I don't want to listen (I'm usually working hard on IC and typing out silly things does not get work done), so I can see where you're coming from.

Not to sound rude (Which is not my intention at all) But if you don't like silly talk and such... why are you playing Multi player in the first place?
May as well just play Single player and get your work done that way and not worry about silly chatter and even better... no griefers.
Whatever floats your boat I guess...

After years and years of World of Warcraft trade chat, I've gotten very adept at filtering out most chat that doesn't apply to me anyway, but with just enough cognizance to usually notice my name if someone asks me something.
I think the only person in chat who's genuinely irked me was Lord_Flashheart. :/ And then I was bothered that I couldn't simply /ignore him and not leave /g entirely.

Yes I asked my self. one can always address me if needed. I'm always game for some silly chatter, but lately the chatter has begun to piss me off. Think of this as a break.
as stated long, bad day

WoW has taught me to filter everything too. I didn't realize it was a useful skill until now.
And I thought we had an /ignore feature now with HeroChat. Maybe I read wrong.
Also, Lord_Flashheart is Black's trolling account.

Haha, no way, really? xD He had me fuming silently the whole last time he was on. I had to leave the game.
And you're right, apparently we do have an /ignore command with the new chat system.

I think people need to learn how to use /msg (name) (message) more, hardly anyone I talk to does it.

Lord flash for the most part was not me. It was a friends account who could not be trusted in the end.

I hate when friends turn out like that.
And sorry for kinda hijacking your thread, nart. :/
