1.5 was released a little while ago.

You know the drill people - back-up your bin files so you can continue to play on the server until it gets updated.

Or just download the latest launcher so that you have the option to refuse the update, like you SHOULD'VE done ages ago.

imma guess the server should be updated next week so im gonna update my pc but keep my laptop normal.

From the talk on the Bukkit site, there are several known bugs already with 1.5, they are working on a build, but they expect more patches from Notch in the coming days. This on top of waiting for plugin authors to update, it will be a week or two, as stated.

Our server, as always, will not patch until all plugins are updated or known to work. Mods, enjoy your vacation.

I'd say Portal 2 came out at an excellent time then.

Google, we cannot help you, other than to tell you to google. Mojang and Minecraft license prohibits us from distributing the older versions.

FUUUUUUUUUUUUU.... I accidently updated...

Everytime MC upgrades I just copy/pasta the entire folder into another folder called "MCBackups"

Successfully downgraded back to 1.4_01, but still too much lag to play SMP effectively. >_> I will most likely be back to my trolling ways on Wednesday or Thursday, depending on how soon I can find a cord that'll make my monitor compatible with the new graphics card. Soon enough I'll be able to troll daily, and you'll all hate me even more..

You basically download the new launcher from minecraft.net and then it should give you the option to "not upgrade" when you press "Login"

The "would you like to upgrade?" should be asked and you can choose YES or NOT YET

This procedure is only *if* you haven't upgraded already =/ otherwise google is your friend or patience could be an outstanding virtue if you wait until 1.5 :3

That means you never got the new launcher off minecraft.net

Google is your friend if you want to try and revert back to 1.4.

Sigh~ Now I feel bad... I should have described to you how the new launcher looks so you dint confuse it with the old one ._.

If someone wants to help out, how about some screenshots of the new launcher, we'll put into the backup thread as well.

I just got back to my normal PC after a week on my laptop. It seems I'm still on 1.3 and for some reason Minecraft won't launch, it just crashes after the login screen. I backed up and updated to 1.5 and everything worked fine, except of course I can't connect to the server in 1.5

You can rob the 1.4 bin folder from your laptop and replace the one on your PC with it.

My Laptop is back in London so that's not all that practical. I could get my family to email the file, but I'd have to talk them through how to find it. I might be easier just to search for it online.
