Escapecraft

So I was planning on building some type of coliseum using a monster trap and obby for the main arena. I already have a monster trap that still needs a bit of work but i wanted to do something else with it other than collect drops. So i decided that I'm going to build some type of arena for it. But my friend, who is a big history buff, wants me to build the actual Coliseum in Rome...He's going to help me with it of course but that's besides the point. I would like to make a request for when the Coliseum is done.

I was wondering if the mods and admins would like to be my first group of gladiators on opening day. It's not going to be pvp, just pvm. (or more like a few players vs a legion of mobs XD ) But yeah, the idea formulating in my head is, hopefully, to catch a buttload of mobs, hold them in an area, then have the admins and mods fight them inside the coliseum. naturally, spectators will be safely above the arena area part of the coliseum and have a good spot to watch the action.


My rules for this, should the mods and admins decide to do it, is no type of god mode or god mode commands allowed (its not fun without the chance of dieing), only 1 set of armor can be used for the whole event, you can spawn items to your inventory mid fight if you guys have some type of item spawn command, just remember only use one set of armor. Hopefully, i grab enough mobs to pose a challenge and cause you guys to use your item spawn on foods and stuff.

I am the aforementioned history buff, and I guess I should post some information on this project, as I have begun preliminary surveys. I am planning to begin construction within 2 weeks. The reason for the delay is that there is an abandoned structure at the center of the plot of land I hope to build on, and I must wait to see if the owner will respond.

The Flavian Amphitheater will be a 1:2 scale model of the real structure in Rome. Its dimensions are as follows:

Width: 78 blocks
Length: 94 blocks
Height: 26 blocks
(I use http://en.structurae.de for all my data on historical structures, and I highly recommend it to all looking for measurements of existing buildings)

I already have plans for a large arena full of traps, landmines, collapsing floors, and the like. I am going to have the arena bedecked with a glass roof to allow spectators get a good angle to watch the gladiators do battle. All in all this should be a fun project! I hope we will have a lot of gladiators signing up for fights once it is opened.
