Escapecraft

So recently if you have noticed I have been at the hub almost 24/7 helping out the newer players. A really good method that I have found for introducing them to the server is tours. It gives them a feel for the server and helps inform them where everything is. I then send them into the world of Escapia, most of them are really grateful and happy that I showed them because they all said they didn't know where to start off on the server. If you feel you have any ways of improving this method or critiquing it please leave a comment below.

Escapia? I believe Escapia is our entire community rather than a specific world. And from what you are stating, it sounds to me like the mentors position; if so, then this position has been already covered.

I know that, obviously. Im saying Escapia as in ALL of the worlds.. And i know the position is covered I have been helping out with the newer players

They start in Escapia by default, I'm not quite understanding what you mean by showing them where to start on the server.

You know what how about we just drop it? I just help them get started in the server and show them around the various worlds

Also there are small periods of time where there are no mentors

You don't have to be a mentor to help people. I, for one, appreciate Jman helping the new folks.

Altho I am a mentor, I can't give those kind of tours because I don't know how to get to everywhere (and haven't been myself). But I do and can help new folks in other ways - esp making them feel welcome and comfortable. And eventually, I'll be able to give tours, too.

I do so myself... because lets face it, sometimes mentors/mods/ops/admins/Founder are busy, and sometimes overlook that one individual... Jman, a technique i use, is using PM's there a lil easier to spot... and even to the extreme, create a new channel... actually i might end up doing tht... as well, mentors find it amusing to see... i remeber once, i was showing a newcomer around, and the mentors were like, wellll since you are stealing our job, might as well do it all!!! so i was that small group of newcomer's so called unofficial mentor

I wasnt snapping I was just saying. Well I dropped it so kinda think my discussion with her is over?

I encourage all players, not just Mentors, to help new players on the server. It's those kinds of things that make a community a great community.

That is a really good idea for the channels and pm's! But you know I enjoy what I do, helping out the new players
