Godavari's Puzzle Map

Download the latest version (30 August).

Hey everyone! For those of you who don't know (read: nearly all of you), I'm happy to say that I'm making a puzzle map that, upon completion, will be submitted to Wokka and (hopefully) integrated into the server for all to enjoy. But first, I have to finish it! And what better way to do that than with the help of the Escapecraft community who will be playing it?

Basically, I need suggestions. Tell me what kind of puzzles you like. Do you prefer parkour, resource-based tests of knowledge, logic problems, or timing challenges? A mix of those? None? Do you enjoy playing with redstone, fire, water, or mechanisms, or would you prefer to have a puzzle based on watching grass grow? I need ideas! From the most elaborate, down-to-the-block plans to the vaguest details about whether smooth stone or cobble is a better material--all opinions are welcome.

I will also be using this thread to keep anyone interested up-to-date with progress. So far, I've finished the basic design, as well as two puzzle rooms.

Considering lag, are timing puzzles a good idea?

But don't take this question too seriously. I'm not a good one to give input about computer based puzzles - because I tend to hate them (unless you count tetris as a puzzle). (I love those old fashioned cardboard picture puzzles, tho - esp the ones where you have a mystery to solve and no picture to refer to.)

I really enjoy puzzles based on parkour and resource based tests of knowledge. Redstone puzzles aren't really my kind of thing, as I really suck at messing around with redstone. However, I'll probably end up playing it no matter what. Good luck on the map.

Today I made a puzzle involving general Minecraft knowledge, specifically the mechanics of fall damage (and how to avoid it). Pictures in the OP.

If you can get it in the 1.7 server then how about some pistons puzzles?

While I haven't made a dedicated "Pistons" puzzle, I have implemented quite a few of the little buggers. Currently, with three puzzles done, there are 72 pistons on the map. Most are for hidden passageways and interacting with redstone circuitry. Were you thinking of something more directly involving pistons?

OP has been updated with screenshots for the fourth challenge. This one's a doozy--it literally took me hours of testing to get the redstone working correctly. Of course, you can't see that in the pictures.

OP updated for challenge #5. This one is about redstone and logic gates. It's fairly simple--just throw the right switches to make the outputs work. It's designed so that just throwing them all won't work. Sorry Vall!

From your reaction on Vent, it seems you're not exactly a fan of advanced logic gate design. :)

Sure! Make sure to unzip it first!

Finally finished! I've updated the OP with the final map save. Keep in mind that a few challenges require Falsebook to work properly. Regardless, anyone can now download the finished product and get a sneak peak. I've submitted it to Wokka already, so after some testing to make sure everything works, hopefully we'll see this challenge in the server for all to enjoy.

For any who care, I've created a Single Player-compatible version, which is now the latest download link in the OP.

Can there be viewing areas on the puzzle map? I am assuming now that there ain't enough space to place them.

The puzzles aren't designed with spectating in mind, so it's very unlikely that something like that will happen.
