Introducing: The Mechanarium


What is it?
A city of machines buried deep beneath the mountains of west fyra. The Mechanarium employs heavy use of redstone circuits and mechanisms to ease the grind of day-to-day minecrafting.

Features:

• Mechanised lumbermill that de-cores trees right before your very eyes.
• Melon harvesting and dispensing - at the push of a button.
• Unique pod-dwellings
• Discreet, mob-proof entrance
• Nearby ravine with plenty of public mining space.
• 'Energy-saving' lights that switch on when players approach.

Where can I find it?
Head deep into west Fyra until you reach the observation post. From the top, facing south-east you should see a glowing column in the distance. Travel to it, from there you will see a second column, again in a south-easterly direction. Follow the columns until you reach the entrance pictured below. How to open this door, you will have to discover for yourself.

Those that are able to find the city, and place their name on the community noticeboard of a housing block will be given a housing pod to decorate as they please, free of charge! See me or Flux04 for tours if you make it inside.

As soon as I have free time could I have a pod-dwelling? This sounds awesome!

I was able to find the place and get inside =D (on foot and without my mod powers by the way)

I placed a sign asking if I can have a pod to live in =3

I wandered in there once while i was messing about with the Modtp feathers.

I've reserved pods for those who've requested them. Of course, if you'd like a different pod that's fine, just ask! Also, moderators/contributors are free to claim any vacant pod whenever they please, including the reserved pods in the main column! Oh, and the warp is called 'Mechanarium'

I'm also planning a line to the fyra rail system that should ease the travel time somewhat.

I'll take a pod, yo.

I have a subway system in West Fyra , by the way. I'd love to be able to hook it up to the Mechanarium.

I love the Mechanarium, Cal, it's very cool (especially that inner sanctum, but shh). Furdabip and I have a town set up in West Fyra and we'd love to hook up our rail line to yours. Maybe you, Goda, Furd, and I should meet up ingame sometime so we can organize that?

I've nabbed the pod next to the one reserved for Stealthy, this place is far too awesome.

Steve and I now have adjacent pods in block B.

I would be interested in obtaining a pod if there are any left.

Edited after realizing I have a couple more things:
I found it and opened it yay :D unfortunately i cant close it from the inside. I closed it from the outside and ran in, then found my awesome reserved pod, but then I couldn't build in it. I explored a bit, and many [x] signs didnt work for me. Also, I couldnt deposit carts in the chests. Other than that, its amazing :OOO

Are there any spots left?

EDIT: I was able to find it, but the entrance was already open and I couldn't close it.

Thanks for the feedback guys. There seems to be some permission trouble with the cuboid and signs etc. When I get a break from my work I'll see if I can fix it!

So I made it into the Mechanarium tonight, and whilst exploring tried out the wheat farm system, only to discover I couldn't replant .-. So I have the seeds still, so I can replant if given the chance.
