I don't think that there is a solely tekkit topic yet (except the front page post), so here it is, basically.

In case you do not know. Tekkit is the SMP version of the Technic Pack, a compilation of mods, including Industrial Craft, Build Craft, Forestry, computer craft, Equivalent Exchange, Rei's Minimap, and many more. Recently, as I'm sure you are aware, Escapecraft started a Tekkit server for donators.
Already there are huge numbers of machines and contraptions, up to some of the most complex in the game, and this topic is just a place to share and discuss them, and to advertise tekkit towns, projects or just cool stuff to look at.

What all does one need to download, just the .jar?

Go get the launcher from technicpack.net, run it, and select Tekkit.

It has the options of .exe and .jar, I found that the exe just said "checking launcher version" and did nothing. Just download the .jar, and click it, double click it, whatever, and it should come up with the techniclauncher logog across your screen, in front of everything, then start the proper launcher.

If anyone wants the skeleton of a house, there's the ruins of mine to the left of spawn when you leave into the wilds. Just follow the coast up until a hill, with a cliff.
