New Bucks Official Thread

Well, this is the official thread for New Buckinghamshire.

We're now a part of Corinth.

We have a hospital!

The town is owned semi-equally by :
MrJKapowey, TyreseEngineer, Osiriss2 and Riffraff1.

We don't tolerate anti-British sentiments...

Our Location:

http://i.imgur.com/vBTk1.png

General Location and Co-ords:

New Buckinghamshire is in Mid-Southern Fyra, in close proximity to settlements such as Beorn and Tulonville.

X - 849 (-ish)
Z - 268 (-ish)

Directions from 'The Hub':

From the Hub, walk to the Sneakie Pie and travel to Fyra. Walk to the lift and go down to the station level. Take the South Train, ignore the Beorn stop and get off at the next one along. Walk right and you should see a path made of Cobblestone. Follow this to (eventually) reach New Buckinghamshire.

Probably be a good idea to say where it is rather than "It exists somewhere."

Yeah, that was in as a joke rule, I think it's in on the settlement page rules for 'St Pirans' (I'll need to write alterations to that article now it's changed so much) and it's also on the terrible Escapecraft wiki page for New Buckinghamshire.

Yeah, I'll be looking that up in a bit. The whole thing is changing so the gates could've moved 40 blocks and gone round the corner by Friday.

Kapowey, I think you need to update the wiki article because it's a bit out of date- perhaps outline our projects in the forest?

Okay, we now have a hospital. This is very vexing and confusing as me and another founder had expected to ask for one later, like at the week end or something. Instead a random resident called Wokka over last night and it's now built...

Except I prepared a building to be the hospital not realising that all of them are the same design, imported in by whoever builds it.

So now we have a hospital in the wrong place, with my building removed (I would like the materials back whoever had it built there) as opposed to being in the large open bit where we plan to develop the town and expand it.

Anyway...

WE HAVE A HOSPITAL!

Ah, Kap it doesn't matter- we've started a collection fund to reimburse you.

On a happier note, the hospital is REALLY useful- got blown up by creepies but didn't die thanks to the quality free healthcare >_>

Location is good too

I started the fund, thank you very much, humph.
I am building a sea floor building/town and help/residents are welcome. Also I am willing to make Deephaven a part of New Bucks if it means I can build closer.

Stereotype? Tea and crumpets are actually quite nice together.

We're now a sister city / suburb of Beorn and Tulonville. From now, we're going to be working on the following plans:

- Developing a tri-city highway to connect us and make it easier to travel.

- Continuing development of the plots within the expansion area. We'd also like to properly mark out the expansion areas with signs to ensure noone encroaches on our land whilst we develop it

- Possibly expanding into the forest in front of the town link road. This is a large and undeveloped area of land so it'd be good to put some houses or other buildings there. The person who is living in the forest doesn't seem to be doing much (I haven't seen them online ever) so it seems likely that the house (which I think got creep'd) is abandoned.

- Nationalising roads (ignore this one for the moment)

- Removing all pointless/semi-pointless arms of government which were created pre-Corinth.

This is a link to a map of our jurisdiction and showing those of Tulonville and Beorn:

I know it's not very big, but Deephaven will join said alliance/suburbness/mabob if possible.
Though your borders on the map envelope us already, along with onehitnoob's place (the floating (on the water) house with the tree farm and paintings on the outside).
I'm just sayin'.

SO you're stating that you would be a suburb of New Bucks/a Sister-city?

sister city, if possible

This is going to come out wrong but.... Deephaven is tiny compared to New Bucks, so why would it be a sister city? To me that implies equality in size etc, so I'd say you can be a sub-district :P

Re: New Bucks Official Thread

but i want to be independent

Re: New Bucks Official Thread

Then surely you should stay as you are- you are already independent and enjoy a working relationship with New Bucks. To me, it seems like you can't want to join us AND retain independence. They seem like opposites.

but it could give me more freedom to build, as with the bridge infringing on the coastline, which your esteemed awsomenesses allowed.

Except it wouldn't as you'd still need to ask us to use our landclaim as you do already, the only way that you wouldn't is by becoming a subdistrict, 'cause we'd control it.

I see, ok, oh and i now have a marked out landclaim on the seabed

I vote FOR the reforms.

Also - The reward for marking out the boundary has been claimed. Yesterday I gave myself three pieces of iron.

Firstly, I vote FOR the reforms, and secondly, I'd prefer it if deephaven etc. had it's own chat channel. Use /ch create and follow the instructions.

Feel free to use /ch corinth. No need to create a bunch of new channels if you don't need to.

Also, welcome to Corinth, officially. (:
