Can i have a plot in darkhaven?

-=EDIT=-

I should also say that i have alot of experience in farming techniques.

If you have 1 water block in the center of a 9x9 area of tilled land then all the tilled land will get enough water to stay tilled. To this end, you could create a massive greenhouse without having to resort to waterways or create a system of aquaducts to provide all the centers with water from one central water tower/source block. In order to do this green house you would need some form of suspended platform for collecting/planting or the ability to keep sneak on or make the farm on a slant and use a piston-water technique. I have a screenshot of the 9x9 results but it was taken hastily so not all the lands are watered but i assure you they are
Spoiler! :

Does that qualify me to have a farming spot? :D

the main purpose of Darkhaven is as a food suply for the settlements when Notch implements hunger and Endermen.

it should allow us to be self sufficient :)

and lazyness is part of its awesome! :D

i can see how that would work in my head... you could also do it with Bridges right? :)

Yes but i've tried that and you get half the produce because the bridge just replaces the reed

yes keep the hollowed area, wild i have seen a piston auto harvest reed farm, they are good.

4 quarters underground one is living, another could be reed and cacti, another would be wheat and the last maybe mining or something

Go more advanced into that. Because i'm sure it would be easy to get most people into rooms just 3 blocks high and most farms require that height at the most. You could sort the underground living quarter into Miners, farmers and normal living quarters or even a VIP area. The miners could have the area or height closest to the mine entrance (assuming it's underground) the farmers could be split into different areas depending on what they are most interested so cacti farmers are closest to cacti farm etc. As for the farms themselves I propose a water tower system at the center of the underground. This could be quite easily supply the entire underground. Also due to the high amount of produce your going to get may i propose a central tower going to bedrock with say 8 double chests on each floor for storage and some form of sorting system. To make all that simpler you could also colour code the doors for the farmers and miners quarters (cacti=green miner=brown etc) and the chests for the items possibly indicating which chest to fill first in order to stop the chance of random items in random chests.

But thats just my ideas :)

mostly, just we need 2 cart systems 1 for storage 1 for transport / evac
i wasn't going to go into much detail at that moment 'cas i was busy

Remember that cart stations take up lots of space so we're going to need possible and area just outside the quarters yet still underground for it. As for the going up and down aspect, how about the servers first non-creative piston elevator? I've seen some videos on youtube about how to make them with floor selection.
