The People's Socialist Republic of Toxicity

Hello there everybody! I am now founding the first Town in the Nether, known as Toxicity. Toxicity is a short walk east of where the Hub NetherPortal drops players. Follow the Signs to find us!

The People's Socialist Republic of Toxicity (PSRT) is planned to be an inital Safe Haven for players to establish themselves in the Nether, and to give it's residents a safe place to operate out of. Eventually, I hope for Toxicity to rival Corinth, Saphiri and the great cities of Escapecraft in size and power. The rules are subject to change at a moment's notice.

If any wish to join the People's Socialist Republic of Toxicity, you can sign up in this thread, and plots in Toxicity itself are still going free! When the 1.0 world goes live, I shall be looking for Provincial Ministers to set up new Towns and Provinces as part of the PSRT.

The PRST is now open to Alliances and will also accept Towns into the Republic. Benefits include but are not limited to: Better trade routes, help from members of the PSRT and knowing that you belong to a nation and are not just another little forgotten town on the server.
With your help, we will all become stronger than anyone else!

Settlement Rules:
  • All Server standard rules apply
  • Plots are definate and final. You are not to build outside your plot, at all.
  • Citizens are expected to donate time/materials to ToxiCity to make it a better place for all. This could mean you help to build a new level/excavate more space, you donate materials that are needed, you establish and maintain a farm of sorts, etc. This rule is meant to foster a community spirit!
  • Listen to what the Lords say! Lords: Jakeman214.
Building Rules:
  • No Dirt or Netherrack Houses. This ain't Dirtville, so put some effort into your houses please.
  • No mines or basements. Keep your house below the City Roof, unless you want to let the Ghasts in. Which we don't.
  • I will allow small overhang onto the roads, but only a single block or two, and only if it isn't impeding traffic.
  • LIGHT YOUR HOUSES! We don't want any mobs spawning in the City!

Hi Jakeman, I have a plot in the Nether and you have appeared to have built a road up to my plot from ToxiCity with a sign saying: To RiffRaff1's plot. This is fine, however I am also making a town, it is smaller but quite near ToxiCity an I was wondering if it could become a district of your town, like Foreon is of Beorn. Please reply soon, Riff.

Oh, and is ToxiCity against Corinth? Are they enemies or something, because if they are, forget all I have just said, because I am a founder of a town in Corinth, and I don't want to betray them.

Oh and plus, if you allow me to be part of the ToxiCity empire, it will help you become bigger and will allow you to rival Corinth. :0)

and once the town is up and running, want to try making a portal USSR side that leads into the city?

@RiffRaff1, when you are in game show me whereabouts your plot is as I have absolutely no clue where that sign is or where you plot is. You are more than welcome to join ToxiCity though! As of now, Toxicity is neutral towards everybody, so you have no worries there mate.

@Random, You may have a plot as per the rules in the OP. Mark it out with a sign, and I'll approve it/move it next time I'm on. And no, Toxicity will not join the USSR as yet. However, if you build a portal and by some chance it ends up in Toxicity's territory, I will allow USSR citizens to use the portal free of charge :P

Thanks Jakeman, maybe one of the co-founders of ToxiCity put up the sign to my plot but nvm. If you live in another country with a different time zone to me, we may have troubles being with each other on the server at the same time, so it may be hard to communicate, but I am very happy you have accepted me and I think my mini town has about 14/15 plots atm, but I am expanding. I will keep you informed.

Oh if you want the location, you know your big cobble bridge with the glass roof with the glowstone at the sides, it is very close from there; to your right if you are coming from spawn and it is opposite the lava lake

RiffRaff, I do belive you are talking about a completely different town. Go and check our Toxicity's co-ordinates, as there is no glass roof OR glowstone on the cobble bridge leading into Toxicity. Also, there are no co-founders, I am the founder, first last and only. I live in Australia, and I'm normally on around 1-2am my time which is about 2-3pm your time.

You're confusing me man!

Jake- I didn't realise this before but our towns are closer than I thought, so maybe we could do this sub-district thing (if you still want to). The problem is, we're in complety different timezones, so showing you may be a problem. I'll try and give directions later, gtg bye

RiffRaff1, I have found and seen your little castle/town, and yes it is still quite close.

As for Joining the People's Socialist Republic of Toxicity (PSRT), you may opt to join the PSRT as a Province or pledge allegiance to the PSRT and be an ally, if you so wish. I am working on a flag design which will be up shortly.

Cool, thanks. Um have you seen the road that the castle place leads to? Well atm it is not finished and atm I have 1 resident so all is good. And yes it is very close so maybe I'll build a temporary road?
... which you can alter later.
PS I am happy to donate any materials I can to ToxiCity, just ask :)

We've had a rather large burst of activity with Valkeru and Maykxor grabbing plots in Toxicity. I've also updated the OP with pictures of the city in all its glory.

Due to excessive griefing, I have used my Vet Cuboid on the city (Turns out I never used it! :P). I am yet to add any residents onto the cubiod, but it will be my very first order of business next time I log into Escapia.

Other than that, I'm just mining away the netherrack and slowly building more floors and walls to enable us to have a farming level!
