The EMA is a group of escapecraftians who love to mine and go mining a lot. Then they brag about what they find and try to find the most stuff. They are also a friendly community. And a lot of times like to mine together if they so choose. This group loves mining and it is almost like a mining discussion and a mining competition. I went mining in pvp last weekend, got 40 diamond ore in just a couple hours. Gotta love cave systems.

Oh, and I got 91 dia total with my Fortune pick.

Not bad, though I'm pretty sure I've had better. A stack of diamonds is pretty typical for me per mining trip, 2 stacks on a good day. Don't think I've ever hit 3, my inventory usually fills up with iron & lapis before I get that far.

Per session? Not really sure. Until I get bored. Mining (and minecraft in general really) is my zen activity, I just do it to zone out and relax, I don't really keep track of the time. If I had to guess I'd say 40 minutes to an hour.

Fortune on the spot. Been using the same pick since the enchantment was first introduced. I think I'll probably be the first to use up a fortune III unbreaking III entirely on valid blocks (diamond, lapis, redstone, coal). Although that feat is made much less impressive by the fact I usually mine with godmode switched on. (My first 3 fortune picks I lost in lava and 2 got wiped by going to creative world. Got fed up of paying through the nose for enchantments I barely got to use).

I use a silk touch ad then a fortune just cuz fortune is more valuable and silk touch pads my stats a lil bit

Here is my mining inventory if anyone is interested, the armour is all fire Protection III+ and its also how I set up my mine.

Iron picks? I use dia only. One with eff and unbreaking for mining stone/ iron/ gold, one with silk touch for dia/ lapis/ coal. Then I usually have a stack of logs, a stack of food, and a dia shovel for gravel. Armor is whatever I happen to have laying around.

Diamond picks? I use iron only. Except for silk touch/fortune picks, cause I'd like them to last a lot longer. Been a while since I went mining though, and if I felt like it I could go out with full dia tools, dia sword, and full dia armor, but if I ever felt like mining again I'd do it with iron just for the hell of it.

I always mine with diamond tools. I did go through a phase of using iron back in Terra, but it was shortlived. To quote some youtuber whose name I've long since forgotten: "Resources in Minecraft are infinite, your time is not".

Mining with diamond tools means you find more ores in the same timeframe, you also have more inventory space as the result of carrying fewer picks and can stay underground longer. Yes you loose a few gems to the crafting table, but in my opinion the rewards more than offset the cost.

Plus these days I tend to value iron more than diamond since it's the bottleneck for expanding my city.
