I was waiting for you to notice - the things a person considers funny very late at night can be kind of weird.
I suppose that now that you have I could change it back, but.. I don't feel like it.

What's up with a everyone using Vladimir Putin as their avatar? He's a president that cheats (although for my own reasons I admire him) but he's essentially just another dictator that worked for the communist party of the soviet union in his earlier years and then headed the KGB.

I declare this week. Putin Avatar Week.
To take part simply replace your current avatar with one of Vladimir Putin.
Lets see who can get the best avatar.

People will respect you more if you do some amount of research before slandering one of the most admirable leaders Eastern Europe has ever seen.

I know who Putin is and I he does inspire me but at the same time his dictatorship does not.

So, the President of a federal constitutional republic is a dictator? The same one that has spent the last 22 years as Prime Minister and President of Russia, pulling them out of shambles after the fall of the Berlin Wall, nearly single-handedly resolving the country's economic crisis in the 1990s, and maintaining a stable political and economical state for Russia for two decades?
How so?

This is normally your first hint in any politician that they've probably not been entirely legit.

To paraphrase Douglas Adams, No person who actively seeks political office should, under any circumstances, be allowed to hold it.

I will make a final statement and then stop arguing about him. He is a very smart guy that saved Russia from bankruptcy but at the same time he arrests most people who protest against him and has been known to order FIA agents to poison journalists who wrote against him. In addition to that he worked for the KGB in East Germany and the Communist Party of the Soviet Union which was definitely a dictatorship. He has also cheated in the Russian parliamentary and presidential elections(although he would have won the presidential ones anyway). Nonetheless, what I admire most about him is how he stands up agains the West every time they try to intervene in another countries foreign affairs. I do not wish to enter into a political debate so I will close with this statement.

To be derailed a thread needs to have a topic to begin with. If your OP is nothing but a .gif then don't be surprised if conversation tends to meander.

Good point. Someone just needs to photoshop that to have a Putin head and there'd be no problem.
