Re: The Prophecy of Escapecraft

Post by Skunk_Giant » 10 Sep 2012, 03:38

"Run!" Tanis cried. "Quickly!"
As he slowly turned to face the burning seaside town, Tanis was filled with fury and horror. Innocents rushed past him, desperately trying to escape the flames. People leaped from their escape boats now engulfed with flames.
"Quickly, Tanis! We've got to go now! They're burning all our boats!" Welwyn cried. "Hurry!"
After taking one last look at the great town, Tanis shot a vine to the sail of the nearest boat, and pulled himself away.

Matthew sighed. He dropped the torch to the ground, letting it roll into a puddle of water, killing the flame. He watched as the final boats sailed away, and desperately wanted to help. But he couldn't. He watched as another Escapian soldier lit a house on fire, while twenty more used ropes to pull an unstable building down.
"Burn everything that is useless to us!" Zin cried. "They deserve to see every last spark!"

Random stepped into the CUT HQ again, feeling more nervous than ever before.
"What's Louis up to?" He demanded.
Haxx looked around, checking nobody was nearby. "What exactly are you talking about?"
"What does Louis have to do with Prisoner 697?"
"I'm sorry?"
"The Key. What does it mean?"
Haxx got up to walk away. "I'm sorry Random, I really am."
"For what?"
"For this."
As a footstep approached from behind, Random noticed two CUT Agents. Before he knew what was going on, his face was on the reception desk, and his hands were handcuffed.

Vallorn sat down. "I'm telling you, I don't know what you're talking about. As far as I've been told, 697 is no more than a simple prisoner. He betrayed us. He betrayed the Escapian Empire."
Inv sighed.
At that moment, there was a loud, obnoxious knocking at the door. It could only be one person.
Derek screamed. "INV! INV! INV! INV! INV!"
"What?!?"
"It's Random! They've arrested him!"
"Oh crap..."
"It's all the questions you've been asking," Vall pointed out. "But why stop you if they have nothing to hide? Maybe you are onto something, Inv."
"Come with me Vall, we've got to save Random!" Inv pleaded.
"Woah, woah. I'm not breaking anyone out of a prison or anything. I'll help you investigate, but I'm not taking any part in a breakout. Random may be your partner, but if you try to break him out now, you'll both end up in prison."

Towler grinned. "I must say, it's pleasant to see you, Louis."
"The feeling's mutual, Towler," Mountbatten replied. "But clearly that means one of us is going to get the short end of the straw."
697 watched with Proz as the two spoke, still shaking hands firmly.
Towler leaned in. "I wouldn't usually hazard a guess at who that might be, but it seems I have an army, and you do not."
"So it does," Lord agreed.
"So why did you come here, Louis? Did you think you could just stroll into my territory and arrest me?"
"Well, that was certainly an appealing idea. But part of the answer to why lies in the answer to how. You've kept this place hidden so well. You've done every possible thing you could to keep the location a secret... And yet, I found you."
Towler's grin turned to a frown. He turned to one of his soldiers still working at the boulders. "Arrest him."
"So you don't want to hear my master plan?" Louis asked. "I think you do."
"And why's that?"
"Because if you hear me out, you'll have less Griefer bodies to clean up tomorrow."
With that, a horde of Escapian soldiers appeared around the area, from trees, caves and bushes, surrounding Towler and his Griefers.
"Now... where was I? The master plan. If I told you now that I was defecting, that I was betraying the Escapian Empire, would you accept me?" He asked. Not waiting for Towler to respond, he continued. "No, of course not. And yet, you accepted my friend here, Prisoner 697. The inside man."
Towler and Proz turned to 697 slowly, who looked away.
"697 committed a minor grief to become imprisoned. We had a small amount of guards on the inside of the prison ensuring the escape of 697 and his new friend, Proz. 697 would communicate with messengers who would report back to Ghost and I. When the time came, despite sending others after 697 to make it look like we wanted him back behind bars, we sent Ghost to cover his tracks. All so that we could kill two birds with one stone," Louis explained, stepping over to Proz. "Because you, Proz, caused me quite some frustration. You think you could get away with causing the Escapian Emperor to resign? Of course not."
"But why break me out just so you could imprison me again?" Proz spat. "You're right back where you started."
"Not at all, Proz. You see, you led us to Towler. That, and it makes me so happy to see the look of failure in your eyes." He stepped back to Towler. "So now, we can talk. I-"
Towler reached for his sword quickly, yelling with fury, but Louis quickly kick him back and pushed his own sword against Towler's throat.
"The game's over, Towler. Every Griefer in operations here will be punished. You will be interrogated, and you will tell us where Milo is and who's pulling the strings."
"And if I don't?" Towler asked.
"You will." He turned to the Escapian Army, which easily outnumbered the Griefers. "Arrest everyone. Get Ghost and Iron out of the cave." He looked back to Tolwer. "Get up. We're going."

Stalke fell to his knees as he watched the burning Seahaven fade away, yet again. "I... I caused this."
"No," Welwyn said. "Mountbatten did. And he'll have some explaining to do when we get back."
"If we get back," LS chipped in. "We just fought the Escapian Army. How are we going to be treated when we get back? We'll probably be imprisoned!"
"So... where do we go?" Tanis asked.
And that was the problem. Nobody knew.

Two Days Later
Wokka walked into the meeting room. "Let's make this quick. A brief summary of events, please. Let's start with the Towler event."
Mountbatten stood up. "Operation Diamond Key was a success. Proz is behind bars and in isolation again. As he has served his purpose to us, he will never be integrated back into routine prison again. Towler is currently being interrogated by Zinrius for the whereabouts of Milo and other information."
"Right," Wokka acknowledged. He turned to Spy and Haxx. "I understand we had a security breach in the CUT HQ earlier."
Spy stood up. "Yes. Haxx noticed that one of our own Agents, Random, had somehow gotten into Louis Mountbatten's files and almost learned the truth about Operation Diamond Key. He has been arrested and will soon be interrogated."
The room was silent for a moment. "Mentor Matthew, as Zinrius is currently busy with the interrogation of Towler, would you please summarise the Battle of Seahaven?"
"We approached with the plan to ask the people to leave. They did not allow us to talk. We were attacked on sight, Sir, as they didn't have prior knowledge of the selling of Seahaven. There was nothing else we could do."
"And the burning, did you deem it necessary?" Wokka asked disapprovingly.
"I... did not, Sir. I did not take part in it. Zinrius, however, ordered it, and the soldiers that took part in the burning did so out of their loyalty to the Es-"
"Enough. Zinrius will be held accountable."
"If I could mention something?" a voice spoke from the back of the room. Iron stood up from the Mentors and spoke. "Operation Diamond Key may have been a success, but surely it could have been done better. Ghost and I nearly died. We thought we were looking for a prisoner."
"Ghost knew the entire plan all along," Wokka explained. "I'm afraid secrecy was rather important in this mission."
"So what happens to 697 then?" Skunk asked.
"He will remain hidden. News of Diamond Key cannot spread. Is there anything else?"
Vallorn spoke up. "I would like to appeal the case of Random. I'm doing so as a favour to a friend who will remain anonymous. He wants Random set free, as he believes he did not deserve imprisonment."
Wokka looked to Vallorn. "Random violated the security of CUT. He committed treason." Vallorn sighed and took a seat. "Having said that," Wokka continued, "you will be given the option to appeal his case at a later date."
Louis stood up again. "What about the survivors of the Battle of Seahaven? They haven't been seen since their evacuation."
"If we find them, we will let you know," Wokka assured him. "You're free to go," he said. "Afly, before you leave, would you mind finding Zinrius? I want to speak to him before the official case judging his actions at Seahaven."
Afly nodded and left the room.

Zinrius smiled. "Mr Towler... you sure do like Griefing, don't you?"
Towler remained silent, staring at Zin in the dark room.
"Is Milo in a room as dark as this? Is he in better conditions than this?"
Towler said nothing.
"You might not be saying anything yet, but I think I'll be able to crack you. Have you heard of my Death Chambers?" He asked, grinning.
"Zin!" Afly called through the lab.
Zin turned to Afly and back to Towler. "I'll be one moment, Towler. You might want to think about saying something." He walked over to Afly. "Afly, good to see you."
"You too, Zin, but I have bad news. You're being officially charged for your actions at Seahaven. They deemed the burning of the town extremely unnecessary. I'm sorry, Zin, but it doesn't look good."
Zin looked at Afly in shock. "But... Afly... What actions? I... I've never been to Seahaven."

Notch sat thinking in his office as the rest of Team Mojang left for the night.
Jeb stepped into the room. "It's not ready yet. You're making the wrong decision, Notch."
"I know. Phase Two will be more powerful when it's completely ready."
"Give them more time, Notch. The people of Craftmine can work out their differences."
"No they can't! Not without our intervening! Craftmine has been around long enough, and the fighting's only getting worse!" Notch yelled. "Initiate it!"
"What? Phase Two?"
"No, the other one!"
"But Notch, it'll wipe them o-"
"Maybe that's what they need, Jeb! Maybe they need a threat of extinction before they start working together!"
"Are you sure?" Jeb asked uncertainly.
Notch sighed and nodded. "Initiate the Horde."

Oh, one more thing. The people from Seahaven (Sti, Tanis, LS, Stalke and Welwyn), I need you to decide on where you want to go. You can return to Escapia publicly, return privately (hideout in a friend's place - in which case name a friend to go to) or camp out in the empty lands of Tekkit.

And Inv, let me know if you want to try breaking Random out.

Edit: Spoilers below.

I've got a theory. Remember fake Notch? I think that was a fake Zinrius trying to ause instability in the Escapian Empire. Zinrius is innocent, and was in Escapia the whole time.

Guys, we will definitely be charged for attacking our own army, and until fake Zin is proved we would have to fight our way back out of Escapia if we went back. We need to go to somewhere very distant, somewhere no one can follow us. To the land of LAN!

Got bored so I'm compiling all of this into a nicely formatted document on google drive. And I'm randomly naming chapters and stuff based on content. Yay boredom :)

And I got even more bored and made a simple title page:

LS, that is awesome. I demand a copy when/ if you finish it. :)

And as for the Seahaven peeps.... we could always try to hide out in the ruins of ver2. Then we could get some old-as-hell references in this story. :P

Oh don't worry I will finish it. Also I'm going to scour the forums for random screenies that can be worked into the story. So far I have finished chapters one and two from book 1, plus the introduction. Still haven't named those chapters anything though.

EDIT: Since skunk stopped doing it by chapter after chapter two I'm not doing that, just doing it by book. I'll go back and separate the chapters later.

YAY! Just wait until AFTER the appeal though, the whole 'i wasnt the one who actually broke security and accessed the files' thing might pay off... but then Derek would end up in prison, oh well we can always use him as our 'inside' man!

LS, that's awesome. I was going to compile it today, but I guess you saved me some time. XD

Asi, I'll definitely work you into it somehow.

So Seahaven group, do you all agree with Sti's idea of heading to the ruins of Version 2?

I have finished copying over all of books 1 and 2 and divided them into basic chapters depending on which post the contents were in and whether or not Skunk was merely continuing the previous post. Time to add chapter titles and format the whole thing better :)

Also, I want to add more to the cover. I'm trying to decide between adding pictures of major landmarks from the story, pictures of the major characters (Lord, Wokka, etc.), or something else.

Also, books 1 and 2 plus the title page and introduction, on full pages, with size 10 font, is 63 pages long.

Yeah, when I said long wait, I was ignoring the fact that I had a few posts in between it.
Also, it depends which worlds, LS, but most likely, yes.
Also, if Wel is going to his lab, do the rest of you still want to go to Ver2?

Alright, I suggest we each split up for our safety, I will head to an old friends house in Escapia, see what I can find out about the massacre happened at Seahaven. We shall all meet up when the time comes. Here is a speech I made because I was boredom and felt like making one.

"Our nation was once great, it was mighty and was respected, but no more. There is a true evil out there, the Griefers, their only aim is to bring war within our nation, to spill the blood of innocents, to make brothers hate one another, family to fall apart and hate each other. This is their aim. We will not allow this aim. We will rise and protect our families, our brothers, our friends and our nation. We will not cower in fear of these Griefers. We will not allow them to burn down our homes and destroy our nation. WE WILL FIGHT BACK! We will not be oppressed my friends. The Griefers shall pay for all the grief they have caused and the sadnesss. The destruction of Seahaven will not go avenged. WE WILL FIGHT FOR OUR FREEDOM!" end speech. /me bows.

Now Skunk get to work on the next post. *Throws diamonds at him*
