Fantasy RPG test

Hi there.
I've had the idea in mind for a little while now to try and put together a new forum game. Something more structured than what has been done previously, with more emphasis on gameplay and strategy. Closer to a D & D campaign than anything else.
I hope to be able to include skill trees, a branching storyline, boss fights, looting, and enough depth for replayability. However all that takes a lot of work, especially since I plan to illustrate as much of it as possible. So I'm setting up this test encounter just to give an idea of what I'm aiming for, test the mechanics, and gauge the level of interest. If all goes well I'd also be interested in enlisting the help of a volunteer writer to help devise the story.
___________________________________________________________________
Mission 1: Prologue
Your party has been ambushed along their journey by a band of Orcs intent on theft. Little do they know that you are no humble travelers, but hardened mercenaries seeking an audience with the king. Fight them off and clear the way.
Party stats:
Warrior
Rogue
Mage
Orc bandit
Terrain:
Grass: Basic terrain tile. No movement penalty
Rocks: Movement halved (rounded down) when crossing. Provides a +1 bonus to ranged attacks
Trees: Can be used as cover by the rogue. Provides +2 armor vs ranged attacks
If you want to take part in the test demo leave a message below. There are only 3 characters I'm afraid so it's first come, first served. Feel free to invent a backstory for your character. I'll be controlling the enemies and handling any behind the scenes dice rolls.
Hopefully this can be a fun way to roleplay, and if it goes well I'll be expanding it into a full game.

Turn 1 (Enemy)
Movements: The orcs charge forward in an undisciplined mass. One receives cover from arrows behind a nearby tree, another is slowed trying to cross difficult terrain.
Attacks: None
Feats: None
List your character's actions to complete the player half of the turn. I will update the map when all actions have been received.

Yes, just not Ice Rain again until turn 4. And only one per turn of course.

I uh what?
you need to move to position yourself behind the guy first before you can backstab <_>

No you're not stealthed yet. It's a feat, you need to initiate it + it costs stamina. You also have a movement speed of 4 squares per turn, which puts you well out of range to backstab the enemy on the far right (who is 12 squares away). You'd also need to be behind him.
vallorn wrote:i shall move 2 blocks to the right and cast Fireball at the closest Orc

But you just had your turn. Ice Rain lasts for 2 turns. When you asked if you could cast additional spells while it was still active I thought you meant for next turn.
If you could cast all your spells in the same turn:
A- You'd be out of mana immediately and be useless for the rest of the round
B- Half the enemies would be dead before anyone else got in range.
C- The Mage is already OP enough as it is

Turn 2 (Ally 2/3)
Movements: Darktaint moves 2 squares to the right
Vallorn move 1 square back, and one square right.
Attacks: None
Feats: Darktaint uses shield bash, knocking the enemy backwards and scoring a critical hit for bonus damage. Darktaint is now down to 40 stamina.
Vallorn casts fireball. Dealing normal damage and setting the enemy ablaze. Vallorn is now down to 55 mana.
(I just realised how incredibly overpowered fireball is which the mage's will modifier. I've changed it's base damage to be the same as the rogue's fire arrow, but even with that nerf it still hits harder than I intended it to. It's a 1 hit kill on these orcs if it crits or causes fire damage).
