I really suck when it comes to TF2, so does anyone have some tips to help me get better?

Depends on the class you play doesn't it

A wizard is never late, Frodo Baggins. Nor is he early. He arrives precisely when he means to. - Gandalf the Grey

Just keep playing, you'll pick it up as you go.

Find a community that isn't super comepetive and try and get to know people. Run with a medic whenever possible, it's more fun when you can't be insta-gib'd. If there are no medics, try playing as one.
If you're really looking to improve try jump maps for the soldier, demoman and scout. They teach you advanced rocket/sticky jumping techniques, and how to optimise your movement.

No, are you a fool?!

Ugh, fine. What happens with me is, if I don't act correctly as a player should on the opposite team (and trust me, it happens occasionally) I get killed, generally by a pyro.
In essence, if you see a player on your team acting strangely, give them a quick blast of fire. They won't get hurt if they are legit, if not, they will set on fire.
Now, go, practice!

It seems I'm only good at scout and soldier. Goes to show I'm meant for being the faced-paced guy in shooting games.

I got tired of the hat myself.
I played Alien Swarm when it first came out, while ago. July 19th 2010 according to Wikipedia.
I'd be willing to play if anyone wants to. It's a great game.

Jeeze, July 19th is a while ago for a game? When I think "a while ago" I think Battlefront 2.

how to play pyro:
Get a degreaser; the backburner is bad and the normal flamethrower isn't optimal.
Shotgun over flaregun.
You're an ambush class; play as such.
Learn how to circle strafe.
Avoid being infront of heavies, demos, and soldiers.
You'll get a feel for it, it isn't really all that hard.

Ok got a ProTip for yo guys, first get your pyro equipment, place it on the floor and proceed to jump on it... then get your class menu back up and choose spy. This is my no 1 tip to success while playing pyro =D

All you need to do as pyro is hold LMB, forward, and then steer. This is an advanced technique practiced only by professional Pyros, and as such can earn you many kills. We refer to this technique as "W+M1."
It is powerful. Use it wisely.

For srs though, here's a nice quick guide to pyro:
1. Airblast. All the time. You can put friends out and push back enemies and projectiles. Teach those fungineers a lesson.
2. No, really. Airblast.
3. Don't use the backburner. It's tempting, but the Degreaser is far better.
4. The flare gun is if you need a bit more range, but if you like to stay up close, your shotty is much better for you.
5. Remember your weapon boosts/debuffs. They are crucial in a fight. Also, make sure you take advantage of your melee weapon's special ability.
6. USE MELEE DAMMIT
7. Last but not least, rember your place. You are an AMBUSH class, so play as such. IE disregard the whole "W+M1" thing. It might score you a couple kills, but then you die and become a liability to your team, as you likely alerted the enemy to your position.
