Fix'd...
8/10
Haven't heard that before, but I like how it has a very modern rock feel to it. The bass is great.

Re: The VG music thread (Read the rules!)
6/10 it's alright I suppose, just not really my kind of stuff. Also not having played Alan Wake (yet) I'm sure it doesn't brings the kind of feeling that it should to me. =x
And I suppose it's fine, it barely counts, kind of sort of.

7/10 Never played much sonic, I suspect a lot of the appeal lies in nostalgia.

HL: 7/10 Forsaken 6/10
Both are suitable I suppose, but a bit generic.
Now, getting straight back to retro PSX goodness. I see we've had some Crash; wouldn't be complete without his platforming rival...
Spyro was always better than Crash to me anyway.

Mostly because there were a few tracks I liked better in the game... though you just lit a nostalgia fire I won't be able to put out soon.
I love it, dunno about anyone else...

I like the jazz feel near the beginning. Also has a nice rhythm.
And who could forget?

Nostalgia Rating: 9/10
Regular: 8/10
It's a tune that lives on through the ages, and for a darn good reason.
Now... who thought a menu could sound so amazing?

Fun, quirky, interesting. I have to say I like it.

When did choosing your character in a game become an epic undertaking with a song like this? lol
OT: I have that game on my PS3... I really like what OC Remix did with the soundtrack, so 8/10
Now for some good old nostalgia.

Just a heads up Kaosu (as a friendly tip on how to do this ;3)
This -> /watch?v=MEvv10M0JTM = Not going to work
What you need is just the MEvv10M0JTM and not the /watch?v=

Oh sweet Jesus, that brought back memories. For nostalgia: 7/10

There's a reason that this is one of my favourite game series...

I started with FF VII, but it took a while for me to actually like the song.
Since we're on the nostalgia train... My favorite FF Boss theme from Nobuo Uematsu. (I say that, because there are better ones in the series that aren't by him.)

Nostalgia train is functioning at optimal capacity. Great piece of music there, definitely brings back memories.
Let's bring in something new. Very new.
Now, I should warn you. THE FOLLOWING MUSIC CONTAINS SPOILERS FOR PORTAL 2

Apologies, but I want to post, yet not spoil the game for myself. I'll just guess the score I'd give it, likely 10/10.
Here's something I've just re-remembered:

Haven't played it, but it wasn't what I expected from a shooter game.
Great jazz techniques in it.
This next song is another Alan Wake one. I think the main thing I like about this song, is that it strangely gives me a sense of Nostalgia. I say strangely, because the game only came out last year... But still, there's something about it.

9/10 - never really played much of the game, but I do like that song. Coincidentally, here's one from Deadly Premonition (I recently got it and am enjoying it), which has similar aspects to Alan Wake.

I'd probably give that one 7/10, while it is the main theme for the game it's probably not one of the best songs on the soundtrack. But it's still a pretty good one.
Guess I'm taking a bit of a risk with this one, but this is one of my two favorite videogame songs ever.

I quite liked it. Infact, with all this FF in the thread, I may re-download FF VII to my PS3...
Now, for some more MGS.

7/10 for the song itself... But 9/10 for how fitting it is to the scene it plays during. That part of the game made me shit bricks.
Another epic SNES song, while Arcana was a fairly linear and decent game (apparently the japanese version was better?), this song will forever remain in my memory due to it's epicness and the amazing fight in which you hear it.

10/10 Who doesn't love that song? It makes great easter eggs as well as a great meme! I love it!
I think this belongs with one of the great boss fight musics from Final Fantasy hehe I dragged it back in, its just too epic! Plus I think that FF2 is quite hard .

Simply because I think the remade regular battle track is more epic in a darker kind of way.
Also... I hope you don't mind me putting in a song for a game that's in development... I adore this song. >_>
