How was the beta? I dont have a computer good enough to run it.

From my brief experience with this game, I can tell you it's a hack-and-slash a la Diablo with the upgrading elements of Spore. I haven't seen the ability to make your own characters yet as the only function of the creator I've seen was equipping.
