Terraria!
Terraria!
I bought Terraria! Who else has ? =D
It looks awesome. But I haven't been able to play it because I had to rush to work, anyone want a shot at "over hyping" my curiosity with their own expiriences with the game ?
EDIT::
Been playing it for a few hours! I love the challange it provides!
Mining for materials has never been such a cuss-a-coaster I love it.
UPDATE::
I got everything in the game... it's boring now. Meh. Building blows in this game since the focus is "survival" which is now the easiest thing ever with all this ubber equipment. Sigh~ oh well! It was good while it lasted.

Looks pretty good, although I hope it doesn't kill Minecraft or vice-versa.

Re: Terraria!
Pfft. L2World of Warcraft. Or basicly any other game I can think of that allows chatting. Enter has always been the "talk" button. Minecraft is the odd one out (I still rebound the key to Enter on it though.

Re: Terraria!
Since I am such a noob....do you have to pay monthly to use steam? Or do you get a free account, but you buy the games on it?
Re: Terraria!
The account is free, and if you hang around long enough to catch a sale the games are incredibly cheap.

Re: Terraria!
Im having the same problem. Even after building them a home with beds and collecting 40 silver coins, I can't seem to attract a single NPC.Wildwill002 wrote:I've got it and its awesome. Re: Terraria!
for a home to have a npc in it, it needs, walls (sides and background), a roof, light source, a door, a table and a chair.Zinrius wrote:Im having the same problem. Hehe i managed to get a merchant and soon after i got the blood moon zonbie apocalypse thing.
Top Tip: For night, build a stone tower just out of sight of your town/house(s) to stop zombies etc harming merchants.
Also is anyone willing to trade anything?

Re: Terraria!
I'm going to be trying to get the game this weekend.
Also, do you have to download Steam to get Terraria? I'm not a PC gamer, so I have no clue how this stuff works.

Re: Terraria!
Yeah just make a steam account and download the client, then just buy the game in the store and it should download for you.Sti_Jo_Lew wrote:I'm going to be trying to get the game this weekend.

Ok. I was kinda hoping I could download directly, but no biggy! I'll be popping on the server as soon as I can get some decent equipment.

Re: Terraria!
no blackadder, a leaked version was...well...leaked before the release of the game. It had less items/features in it. Now that the game has been released i have gone and bought itBlackadder51 wrote:Random please do not tell me you pirated that game. Its ten dollars. Thats barely enough for a good lunch.
TO GET NPC's into your house, keep asking for help from the guide. some tips tell you how to get npc's. If you are still stuck there IS a terraria wikki already. google is your friend.

Re: Terraria!
Yep yep, I have nearly all the NPC's. Its just a matter of meeting requirements AND building the proper house.

Re: Terraria!
It looks good, but Steam hates me right now as I can only play Portal on it. Portal 2 Crashed and another game I bought won't work.
Re: Terraria!
How big is the download? I might go and buy it if it's not huge.
It needs to be about, 20% cooler.

16mb on disc according to steam. Unless you're on dial up downloading should be a matter of seconds.Sir_Luke wrote:How big is the download? I might go and buy it if it's not huge.

Re: Terraria!
Now that ive beaten skeletron, explored the dungeon and crafted and mined all that i need. I am now (just like minecraft) bored of the game. probably shouldnt have bought it after all. the problem with these games is there is nothing to really do, and its all monotonous.
