Anyone play it still, or has played it? Also, what was your favorite race to play as?

I personally like this game more than DoW 2. I'm not into the whole micro-management thing. I like RTS games to be crazy with units everywhere.

Eh, I was dissapointed by 2. I like the base-building aspect of RTS games, and DoW2 got rid of that.

I 100% Agree with you. DOW2 was a letdown :/

On Topic, The Tau were my favourites.

Always played as the Tau, but I never got the chance to really have a go as the others. Definitely going to do that at one point though.

Yeah, I like Tau too. Giant robots are always fun. Hated fighting against Necrons and Chaos though... Annoying little buggers.

Always orkz really! I do have a fondness for for swarms and hordes of things. Also for some reason whenever i played the imperial guardsmen just swept the map against the over AI

I've always been a fan of the ultra-specialized races/ teams in RTS games. Tau is almost all ranged firepower, with patheic close combat. But hey, that's what flamers are for!

Nope. It would be mow them down, advance, repeat as needed.

Ahh thats on a large map. Small map with lictors. Nids win

Yeah, lictors are pretty cool. Tyranids are probably one of the coolest looking alien races ever concieved.

I still play DOW:DC, with the Lights of the Warp mod.

My favorite race are the "Pastries filled full of horror (Necrons)"

DOW:DC was probably the best version and soulstorm seems rushed

I never played Soulstorm, no regrets. I'm not too big of a fan of dark eldar or the sister of battle. (think I got those right...)

Soulstorm was rushed it had a Winter Assualt feel where the damage was melee, at least thats how I felt while playing. Sisters of Battle were alright but nothing like the Witch Hunters mod for DC. Soulsuck tried to branch on the non linear story of DC's campaign, by making it planetary based, which just drug out the lackluster ever farther. Also compared to the voice actors in DC, Soulsuck voice actors phoned it in. Just look up Dawn of Awesome on youtube. Metal Bawxes!
