So I started up a nation a few days ago (The Free Land of Ailomiire) and its been interesting so far.
Its not the most interactive game you will ever play... mostly you get issues (You can pick how many and how often. I currently have it set to 2 issues per day) that give you multiple ways of fixing... once you vote it turns into law.
The law then changes the way your nation works.
My Nation
Spoiler! :
The Free Land of Ailomiire is a tiny, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its complete lack of prisons. Its compassionate, intelligent population of 9 million enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.
The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Social Welfare, Public Transport, and the Environment. The average income tax rate is 28%, but much higher for the wealthy. A very small private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Retail and Pizza Delivery.
The government awards prizes to television shows featuring stereotype-breaking minority roles, meat-eating is frowned upon, college students make ends meet by selling their kidneys, and cars are banned. Crime is relatively low. Ailomiire's national animal is the Sheep, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the miire.
Anyone else have a nation?

i just started one: The Republic of Vallorn
Spoiler! :
The Republic of Vallorn is a fledgling, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service. Its hard-nosed, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The tiny government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Commerce, and Education. The average income tax rate is 19%, but much higher for the wealthy. A robust private sector is led by the Woodchip Exports, Pizza Delivery, and Cheese Exports industries.
Voting is voluntary, all tariffs have been abolished, and political parties are banned from advertising and receiving private donations. Crime is moderate. Vallorn's national animal is the Wolf, and its currency is the Brofists.
my economy centers around exporting woodchips and and cheese

Welcome to my nation. Please report any 10 year olds selling lemonade as we are trying to stop that...
Spoiler! :
The Holy Empire of Gaiaxica is a fledgling, devout nation, renowned for its burgeoning Zebra population. Its compassionate population of 5 million are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.
The large government is mainly concerned with Religion & Spirituality, although Education and Social Welfare are secondary priorities. The average income tax rate is 30%, but much higher for the wealthy. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.
Crime is relatively low. Gaiaxica's national animal is the Zebra, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Gaiat.

I'm going to have some fun with this.
Spoiler! :
The Empire of BEPU is a fledgling, economically powerful nation, renowned for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.
There is no government in the normal sense of the word; however, a small group of community-minded, corrupt, pro-business individuals devotes most of its attentions to Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5%. A healthy private sector is led by the Soda Sales, Gambling, and Automobile Manufacturing industries.
Crime is a serious problem. BEPU's national animal is the Cat, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation, and its currency is the Pig.
Not sure why cats need forests, but okay.
Also, this is one of the options for an issue about taxation:
Spoiler! :
"I don't object to the amount of tax, I object to where it's being spent," says social reformer Faith Thiesen. "I'd like to see everyone have a choice as to where their Pigs go every time they fill out a tax return. Everyone would feel a lot better about opening their wallets if they had a say as to where the money went. I think you'd see a lot more public money going to education and a lot less to business."
I approve of my choice in currency.

The Theocracy of Hytronicus
Spoiler! :
The Theocracy of Hytronicus is a fledgling, environmentally stunning nation, renowned for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-nosed, cynical population of 5 million are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.
It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. The average income tax rate is 47%, but much higher for the wealthy. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Book Publishing.
Crime -- especially youth-related -- is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Hytronicus's national animal is the Daedroth, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Blood Coin.

I made one. I used Nahuatl words for names. The name of the place means "Cool Place" and the currency is impure beeswax.
Spoiler! :
The United Socialist States of Tlaceceyaya is a fledgling, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its strong anti-business politics. Its hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The large government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Education, and Social Welfare. The average income tax rate is 28%. Private enterprise is illegal, but for those in the know there is a slick and highly efficient black market in Door-to-door Insurance Sales.
Crime is a problem. Tlaceceyaya's national animal is the Bonobo, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the Zoquixicocuitlatl.

I'm sticking to my region comprised of states geared toward trolling the serious-minded forum community.
Have a look for a place called The Grand Duchy of Consuelia and see how a master troll works.

Spelt it wrong. It's Conseulia.
And yes, it's originally a mis-spelling of a mutation of the name "Consuela", as in this lady:

Okay, I'll give this a shot. Behold the Armed Republic of ffawkes:
Spoiler! :
The Armed Republic of Ffawkes is a fledgling, pleasant nation, remarkable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its compassionate, hard-working, intelligent population of 5 million have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.
The tiny government is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Social Welfare and Religion & Spirituality receiving almost no funds by comparison. Crime is a serious problem. Ffawkes's national animal is the Phoenix, and its currency is the Dollar.
Already I dislike the way the choices provided for responding to issues railroad me into directions I would not go.

My latest issue:
People Request Not So Much Dictatorship, If That's All Right
While effusively praising BEPU's leadership and bowing repeatedly, a delegation has humbly requested that the government take a more "modernistic" view in the future.
The High Minister for Finance, who also happens to be your brother, dismisses the claim. "What these people fail to realize is that you know what's best for them. The alternative is anarchy! I say stick to your course. And execute these wackos for treason."
This is the position your government is preparing to adopt.
"Perhaps the people could be given some more political freedoms," muses your Chief of Staff, who is your sister. "Is there really such harm in allowing public discussion of ideas? We could even have a real Opposition Party. One that isn't just full of your puppets, I mean."
I like where this is going.
