Great... So we're going to have to wait even longer than we did for Skyrim for the next proper TES game? Wonderful.

What on earth is up with this desire to turn franchises into MMOs? Now I wish to be as offensive as possible and I hope you come away from this thread feeling saddened and dead inside, but I simply don't want to waste my time having to deal with people like you lot constantly, so I'm still not going to buy an MMO.
Also, waste of money for all parties.

MMO or not, it's The Elder Scrolls - they have my money.
Also - all of Tamriel! Watch as I retreat to the Summerset Isle and never leave. Also, it'll be nice to wander Cyrodiil's forests again.

WoW alone makes Blizzard nearly $1,000,000,000 per year.
Is there any other reason needed...?

Do they make anyone else that much?

wut.
All I'm saying is most companies who make MMOs want a chunk of that pie.

Plus playing with/killing/swindling real people is generally more enjoyable/fulfilling than if they were just NPCs, regardless of how crap they happen to be.

Further investigation tells me that it's been in development for a while by a separate team, so it doesn't affect the main series (apparently). So that means I just don't give a damn, at all.

I hope they keep the same combat, perspective, and such. I don't want a generic WoW style MMO set in the Elder Scrolls universe. But a multiplayer first person RPG.... Win.

I'm excited for it. That's all I've got to say.

Can't play the Imperial faction and it's an MMO? No thanks.

Some images for it. If a one time buy, I will get it. If not then no chance.

Quite frankly, that looks awful.

Er, what exactly looks awful about it?
Everything there was either concept art, or didn't look all that different from previous Elder Scrolls games. Sure, the character models look a tad more cartoonish, but that was to be expected. The environments and enemies all seem to be in keeping with the rest of the games.
The only worrying thing is the lack of evidence of a first-person perspective, but there's hope for that yet.

I think it's the general art style, it makes it look like every other MMORPG, which is
sort of fitting really.

OK, I just got this month's issue of GameInformer (a magazine) in the mail yesterday and the cover story was on this game. It's terrible. It's literally just your average, generic, boring-as-hell, hotkey MMO set in Tamriel. Yup, that's right. They made another game EXACTLY like WoW and SW:TOR. No first person perspective.
I am definetly not getting ths game. Now someone go make a Skyrim mod that allows drop-in drop-out co-op.

yeah, no real big surprise that this turned like a generic mmo. At least its not being made by Bethesda so the main series should be unaffected by it.

Yup. I hope the DLC for Skyrim lets us go back to Morrowind. I want to visit Vivec!

If you had read the lore... that city is gone... the ministry of truth crashed into it after vivec's powers faded which caused the Red Mountain to erupt carpeting Vardenfel in ash.
Its rumored that Vivec didnt die and was taken by the Daedra though...

Oh, ok. I never follow lore of games, and I've never managed to finish an Elder Scrolls game. I always get bored halfway through and make a new character.
