New Server

Can anyone help me make a new server? Just for me and my friends... I have tried to make it multiple ways but none of them have worked... I spent hours looking through youtube and wikipedias but cant seem to find a way that will work... usually i get a server up and running but none of my friends could join it... any way you can help would be helpful :)

Do your friends have registered minecraft clients? (Non-pirated, that is.)

Is port 25565 open? You can check here.

What IP are your friends trying to connect to?

they are trying to connect with my external and internal ip i tried both :P and yes port is open my computer has an auto portforwarding system
all my friends have bought minecraft yes
