I'm not gonna lie, some parts still make me cry, and rewatching it 10 years later or so was a blast.

Seems the kind of thing you'd like Black.
Did you know that you may also recognise the voice of Rafiki...
as this man...

You have not seen anything. Your life does not have meaning until you watch this movie.

I like Aladin and Hercules a lot more than Lion King in terms of Disney movies.

I saw the West End Production, it was amazingly awesome. There were people crying in the first 5 minutes. Yeah.
Oh, and in terms of tears, it's nowhere near as baaaw-worthy as The Fox and the Hound.

I remember seeing it back in the theatre. I enjoyed it, and didn't mind the sequels either. Looking back on that era of Disney, in general, makes me remember it as a good time for them. I still sometimes miss Disney's early 90s television shows.
The first Disney film I saw in a theatre was "The Brave Little Toaster," but I don't remember it at all. I do remember "Who Framed Roger Rabbit" though!
Edit: Unrelated... that theatre I saw "Lion King" in was on fire (and later burnt down) while I was watching "Deep Impact" in it with a date at the time (1998, I think?). It was crazy to leave a movie about asteroids and the world ending to find that the street was on fire and the theatre was burning down.
