Jake's lazy treasure hunt
Jake's lazy treasure hunt
I was browsing my steam games the other day when I realised I still have several unsent gifts on my account. Some of them have been there for months now, I clearly don't have enough PC gaming friends.
I have:
The original Portal
Half Life 2: Episode 1
& two copies of Trine
My first thought was: "Well I'll just give them away on the forums, I don't need them and they might make others happy"
My second thought was: "Nah, I'll make the lazy bums work for 'em. That'll be more entertaining"
And so I endervoured to build 4 shrines in each of the four quadrants of world 3. Each built to symbolise an element: fire, water, sky & earth, and in each I'll place a code representing one of the games. And the shrines will be built of diamond! And be 50 blocks tall! And...
...and it turns out I'm too lazy for any of that, so I just put all four codes together in my house. Being an antisocial recluse, I don't believe I've shown anybody where exactly I live, so it should still be a challenge.
The first 4 people to find it and post ONE of the codes in here (along with an email address to send the game) will win the corresponding game. First come, first served, so don't post a code if the game's already been taken. Mods are naturally ineligable to compete.

Hmm, I would take part, but Steam hasn't been working for me for a while.

Re: Jake's lazy treasure hunt
Well you could easily find out where I live I'm sure. Where's the fun in that?
Besides you mods get more than enough perks to compensate for being left out of the occational competition.

/me points at the fiasco around the 1st Fort Itl Spleef Tournament and the chaos that resulted from Mod Participation.Lord_Mountbatten wrote:This seems to be our lot in life.Jake55778 wrote: Mods are naturally ineligible to compete.

That offends me in a vague, non-specific way, and because of this, and despite the fact I have an insane amount of excellent, enviable perks due to my position, I'm going on strike.Jake55778 wrote:Well you could easily find out where I live I'm sure. Where's the fun in that?

Do we have a union that will protect us if we go on strike?Lord_Mountbatten wrote:That offends me in a vague, non-specific way, and because of this, and despite the fact I have an insane amount of excellent, enviable perks due to my position, I'm going on strike.Jake55778 wrote:Well you could easily find out where I live I'm sure. That was faster than expected. Well done.
By the way in order to send it, I either need an email address, or to have you on my friends list. I'll send an invite since that's probably easiest.

It's on a hill, near a desert biome. It's harder to spot coming from spawn because there are trees in the way.Wildwill002 wrote:Any hints at all? PLEASE!

I'm offended because everyone else is offended and I for one will not stand for it...
What are offended about anyways? Cheese?

If were are on strike can i also raise the agenda of unsatisfactory work conditions, most noteble being a lack of pay.

I would like to raise an issue too.
Not only am I not being paid for my job, but I'm not even being given a job! I find this ridiculous and Jake, I demand you fix this issue! NAO!

You are now my official slave assistant. Your first job is to go into the nether and kill 15 ghasts with your bare hands. Record your struggles for my amusement.
