Hello, fellow Escapiens.
I was thinking today, how unhealthy minecraft has gotten for me. It is starting to make social life away, and it is starting to bring my grades down, as now Minecraft has automatically set its priority to Minecraft > School.
Im in a crisis currently, and i dont know what to do? Quit Minecraft? keep minecraft? bleanwifnwaf. *rage*
When i first got this game, i told my self that i wouldnt play Minecraft till a extent where it sucks my social life away, my grades going down, and not spending enough time with family. I mean, im at that stage, where i prefer playing Minecraft rather then going out with my friends. FML.
Notch, Y U MAKE DIS GAME SO ADDICTING?!?!

If the case is that minecraft is taking priority, you need to take a break. Life should always take priority. Try finding a new hobby, finding new things to do.
If you really feel you cannot make other things take precedence, you could get a mod to temporarily ban you, off-record.

My advice is for you to shut down your computer or delete the minecraft.exe from your desktop. Works like a charm. The key is to learn self control which many of our young players lack.

Or ask a mod to ban you for like a week just to remove temptation. Apparently that works although if you enjoy playing ssp and have a few mods (like me) then that wont help really...

Or he could learn self control. That works too.

Self-control is tough when everything in the world is more interesting than what you should be doing.

This. If you still want to play just a little bit, you can use the internet browser. That way, you're less addicted as it takes longer to start up, and you can simply shut your internet off, therefore disallowing you to play.

Self control +Organization+Time Management+Prioritization = attained attributes
attaining attributes = improving self
improving self = most satisfying method of existence

Burn yourself out. It happens to the best of us. Or ask for a ban thats what some of the mods and players do when they have exams etc...

I fail to see how minecraft can be that addicting, after all there isnt that much to do unless your working on something huge, otherwise its rather boring. that may just be me though. i reckon make time to play minecraft non stop and burn yourself out, or mine straight down collecting any ores you pass and by the time you crash into lava and die you will be so pissed that you lost everything you wont want to come back to minecraft for weeks. Or make yourself banned or learn self control.
This can work to...

I remember something, somewhere on the internets. Some guy was addicted to using the internet than doing work on his computer, so he put a 30 second delay on opening his browser, and suddenly he didn't to get on anymore, because it would take too long for him to get on the internets. So maybe, somehow, put like a minute or 3 delay on your minecraft exe? And then forget that minecraft.net exists

Addiction is hard, just do whatever you can to stop playing it, i.e Making Parents stop you+ everything else that people have said.

You know, thanks for you guy's comments. But, i cant take them seriously with those goddamn glasses on. xD. Im in school right now, checking out the forums, and im laughing my ass off. This is bad. xD
I think instead of quitting im just going to reduce my Minecraft drastically instead. Quit is a strong word. Moderation is a good word, to explain my situation. Besides, on the weekend I got owned by my friend on a quick scoping match. This killed me a little on the inside. </3 I MUST TRAIN!
