Time to get in shape!

Totally unrelated to the "Get into shape" topic.
I must announce for motivational reasons and peer pressure that I'm going to loose at the least between 40-50 pounds of FAT between 3-6 months depending on how my diet and work out routines vs my metabolism goes for both my wife and most importantly, my health.
Right now I'm at 210 pounds and I'm in serious need of fitness. Back to the'ol joggymagick !
Seriously, I want this to be official. So I took pictures of myself in 3 different angles so I can compare results within the time frame/goal I set myself.
Not only am I aiming for fat loss, im aiming for muscle gain as well so that'll be fun.
I know tons about nutrition and fitness to know I messed up pretty bad and I'm hiring my own mental fitness trainer called miss "CONTROL" .
So WISH me luck and hopefully I can set an example for you folk looking for motivation. If my plan works I'll also post the secret to my inevitable success.

Good luck
and your aiming on muscle gain to, then remember that muscle mass weighs more than fat, so if the scale do not drop as fast after a while or after a while you might go up a pound again, it might just be the muscle mass. Many people have a hard time to see the difference.
And let us not forget

That's right! I'll fix that on the OP. Because I'm not aiming for "weight loss" per se, im aiming for "fat loss" which is a totally different thing.

I thought you said you were as skinny as a twig in the 'getting in shape' topic.
Anyways, good luck and hopefully you'll achieve your goal. I hoping for more muscle gain like Hytro

The best and easiest way to lost weight it to have a balanced diet and eat a little bit from every food group so that your body has the energy, protein, and vitamins it needs to produce muscle and burn more fat. and remember, you cant completely cut fat from your diet, as it is very important to your system. just don't overdo it.
(Sources; personal experience, and many medical classes.)

lol, cutting fat.
Some people are just plain stupid. Fats are actually a very necessary part of any diet. But one must know which sort of fats to avoid and which to ingest.

Thing is what doesn't bite you in the ass now, will definitely bite you later on in life. Health problems always wait until your metabolism is crippled. So best to eat healthy now, keep a clean system to live longer and avoid high medical bills.

actually all fats should be consumed (including Cholesterol for reasons to do with Cell Function that i wont go into) however as with all things it should be taken in balance. cutting a whole category of biochemicals from your diet is as silly as counting "Calories". you should focus more on taking in the nutrients you need than cutting the things you don't and anyway exercising removes excess calories from your body anyway.
okay rant over.

Bleh at you.
You eat to live, not live to eat. So like any fine vehicle, your body needs proper maintenance. That is why there's a medical field that focuses on nutrition.
Everybody's different. Everybody requires a unique amount of maintenance. But calorie intake is a universal factor; one must watch it.

Actually, on top of cutting fat, your main arch-enemy is sugar.
So, no soft drinks
or candy
or chocolate
or sugary gum(sugarless is fine, but artificial sugars have been found to have carcinogens, and are banned in the EU)
or smoothie things.
Also, eat most of the fat you're gonna eat in the morning, because you will have enough time to burn it off by the end of the day, but don't pig out all the mornings, or it'll do more harm than good.
Also, eat your fruits when you want sugar, thinks like bananas and apples are oranges are actually pretty damn sweet.
Big no-no on the fruit juices, as they are mostly sugar, The "Only 12% Juice" on the back of juices is pretty scary, just stay away from them.
Also, may I recommend Greek Yogurt? I eat this Yogurt called "Chobani" in the mornings(usually around 6:40 or so) and it'll hold you without problems until about 1. You can also mix it with honey or fruits(IMO, buy the one with honey already in it, because you probably will not like the taste of the normal one, as it is pretty weird, and the honey one tastes pretty good. :S)
That's all I have, good luck to you sir.

Why thank you. All good advice.
Yes, juice is quite evil. All the sugary goodness without the nutrition and it does not satisfy hunger and will most likely give you the munchies. Evil... pure evil.
I try as best as I can to avoid meat fats, I'm more of a Vegan kinda person when it comes to eating healthy. I use pure whey protein to make up for the lack of protein in my work outs.
My mornings mostly revolves around a fruit, most preferably a banana and a nice hot cup of tea. I some times eat a 100% wheat sandwhich with turkey and a spoon of hummus and blue cheese <3 Yummy <3
oh, and yes. Sugars and white flour products ( or any simple carbs related ) = Big NONO

If you're hungry just eat loads of bread or potatoes, they fill you up really quickly.

Or you can just drink water first until you're not. Most hunger is caused by thirst in which we confuse it by hunger.
Bread or pottato ? Bread must be 100% wheat or the potato has quite the calories in it, but it's healthy of course dont get me wrong ( depending on how you cook it of course )
I'm more of a banana person when I'm hungry. Bananas are a good and healthy non-fat meal replacement that stimulates happy endorphins and keeps nasty diseases away like aids.

You shouldn't cut down on calories that much, look at Michael Felps. If he didn't get his 12,000 calories per day he probably wouldn't be able to do his daily exercise.

Dear Jesus. I wont argue about Michael Felps methods.
From my point of view 12,000 calories a day is just a heart attack waiting to happen.

That's crazy training right there to burn off 12,000+ calories a day. But I can't turn myself down because of his work out routine since I only have the will power, equipment, space and stamina to work out an hour+ which intesity is equivalent to a butterfinger bar.
