Google Chrome overtakes Firefox in the UK!

new figures have pointed to Chrome having a 22% market share in internet browsers making it the second biggest browser in the UK. this meteoric rise has left its main competitors FireFox (21%) and Internet Explorer (45%) with substantially reduced market shares.
it has also become the worlds 3rd biggest browser.
Internet Explorer's market share continues to drop even though it is pre installed on almost every computer sold in the UK and most of the western world.

I think now in new computers (at least the ones I've seen), a popup appears when you first log in asking you to choose which browser you'd like to use.
Not sure if that happens with all of them though.

Im not suprised shares in internet explorer are going down, it gets ladened with toolbars and is alot slower than chrome most of the time. :L

I mean, it is the best browser out today.
Fun fact, the majority of users who access this site use Google Chrome.

If thats the case, you're doing it wrong.
And no, Android is a completely different browser.

I dislike change. It took a system crash and the deletion of all my bookmarks to get me to switch from IE to Firefox. It'd probably take a similar catalyst to get me to switch to anything new. (I did try Chrome for a while though)
To be honest it doesn't matter much. They're all web browsers, they all perform the same basic functions. Any speed differences are negligible in my experience. It mostly comes down to what you're most familiar/comfortable with.

This is shocking news... as Google Chrome still sucks. I'll be sticking with Firefox 3.6.18 for a very, very, long time. =D I don't like the way Chrome looks and when compared to Firefox, it has crap for addons.

I love chrome, Saves me from being hacked :L Also, It runs very smoothly for me, And even more. I was able to get a rainbow dash skin for chrome

Firefox is even better for not being hacked and i have a Dashie skin for mine as well

you need the Persona's add on Mike and i suggest using Persona's Rotator with a whole bunch of them set on an hourly cycle
