Hey man, I don't mean to barge in on your conversation or anything... But you got them backwards. The first picture is a picture of chips and the second picture is a picture of fries.

In Norway we call potato chips for "Potetgull" directly translated to "Poptatogold", we where talking on Vent, and we got into chips, and they asked American or British Chips, so I said Norwegian Chips, Potatogold.

In my opinion, the first one is chips, second one can be referred to as hot chips or chips, third is french fries.
