To all who are interested, the construction of Flonneshire Cathedral has begun. It is in its first phase, which consists of leveling out the land where it will be constructed. To anyone who is interested in monitoring it's progress, the construction site is just north of the town itself past the cemetery. To those interested in helping, we're taking donations of dirt blocks at the moment, we're also looking for helpers to level out the area (cut down the high points and fill in the low points). If people are interested, I can keep posting updates on the BR thread with screenshots of the progress, if there is no interest, I will not.

Flonneshire Cathedral Update:

Work on the Flonnshire Cathedral is still in it's early stages but here are a few early screenshots of the progress.
After must deforestation, the area which the building will take up has been boxed off. The base required an area of 47x100 blocks.

Here is an image of the area that has been cleared out, with a border of the required area outlined in dirt blocks. A small degree of flattening out has also been done.


Here is a screen shot of the completed work as of the second day of the project (Nov. 7, 2012). some more work has been done to level out the area, and torches have begun being placed in a 10x10 grid over the construction area.

As of right now, the project is in Phase 1, but all comments and feedback are welcome!
