Ahoy, tis I. Just curious if anyone could assist me and my better half in finding a game to play together. She's more a semi casual gamer, playing stuff like portal 2, sims and minecraft, whereas I play Dota2, Diablo 3, Supreme commander etc. Slight disparity in terms of preferences.
We have, however just finished playing portal 2 coop.
Assistance required :3

How about Awesomenauts?
2D sidescolling MOBA with 3 player teams. It's colourful and easy to learn, but there's some depth there if you want to get into it. Most importantly: it has the least toxic community of any MOBA I've seen.

Re: Recommendations
Does it have to be cooperative in terms of two players? Or are you fine with just working together with one person on the controls?

Re: Recommendations
Coop with two would be preferable, as we can only see each other twice a week irl due to work and education

The LEGO games are always a good bet for co-op funzies (speaking from experience with Flux and I), particularly if you both enjoy the particular franchises. (Marvel, LotR, etc.)
Also Goat Simulator's getting multiplayer. So there's that.

Re: Recommendations
I would recommend Dark Souls and Dark Souls 2, very good games and especially for casual gamers who just wants some quick fun, though you might see your significant others dark side after a while...

There's Castle Crashers, that's pretty fun. Also Star Wars Battlefront 2. Neither require much thinks and I had a lot of fun with them back when they were still recent releases. You can find both on Steam.
