Colony craft...

Looks interesting, I'll give it a try sometime.

I used to play with Mo'Creatures... But the ogres are dreadful, forced me to live on the trees to be saved from being crushed and destroyed. That din't save me much either, a fire wraith burned down my tree house.

So I'll stick to my Spiders, Skellies, Creepers and Zombies thank you.

Also, I don't know if it counts as a mod, but I use INVedit AKA TooManyItems. It's basically the same thing, but I'm not too smart when it comes to downloading mods. So I use INVedit.

Hm, cheating, basically.
I find INVedit and the like don't really enhance the game, just sort of ruin the whole 'Minecraft' experience.
My opinion, obviously. I'm not trying to tell you not to use them or anything

if I had time for single player I might consider using it... I'm still miffed at myself in my sp game, since when I went to mine obsidian for a portal, I promptly managed to burn myself up and lose all my good stuff.

I guess it's cheating... but it's just like being a mod in multiplayer- being able to spawn stuff.
