Playstation Network: Minor Accommodations

Post by nart_21086 » 04 May 2011, 10:17

I contacted Sony about my Playstation Plus service and got this in return;
=====================================================
I appreciate you taking the time to write in with your question about your PlayStation®Plus membership once this matter is resolved.

While we are still assessing the impact of this incident, we recognize that this may have had financial impact on our loyal customers. We are currently reviewing options and will update consumers when the service is restored.

Sony Computer Entertainment America, LLC (SCEA) will also roll out the PlayStation Network and Qriocity “Welcome Back” program, to be offered worldwide, which will be tailored to specific markets to provide our consumers with a selection of service options and premium content as an expression of the company’s appreciation for their patience, support and continued loyalty.

Central components of the “Welcome Back” program will include:
- We will be offering selected PlayStation entertainment content for free download. Specific details of this content will be announced soon.
- All consumers coming back to the PlayStation Network will be provided with 30 days free membership in the PlayStation Plus premium service. Current members of PlayStation Plus will receive a free 30 days of service.
- Music Unlimited subscribers (in countries where the service is available) will receive a free 30 days of the service.

I would like to thank you for giving me the opportunity to assist you. If you have any further questions and/or concerns regarding this or any other issue you may have with any PlayStation® product please, email us again.

Regards,
Dan E.

Anyone a fan of BFBC2? I just got into the game, and need some people with mics to play with.

Hopefully EA fixed their Ps3 Servers. I couldn't play more than 3 minutes a time last month.

So they costs their clients possibly millions from fraud and theft...

Their solution is 30 days of free membership ? hell no... Oh hells no... they better start giving free copies of every existing game in their library for download :evil:

Infact, existing members should get a lifetime subscription 8-)

The problem was a bit widespread, a simple connection reset bug that caused about 30% of players to log out of games every 5 minutes. Sony and EA had no words.
