Beautiful British Weather

Post by Lord_Mountbatten » 05 May 2011, 12:20

I exited the hovel of OptimusHagrid to find this greeting me:

This means that it is definitely spring here in Britain, as the rain has subsided slightly. It's a warm 4 degrees centigrade, and I'm wearing shorts, and working on my tan.

Reporting in, no serious rain to note at all here in Southampton yet, though there has been a drop in temperature from the balmy 20 degrees last week.
One of my bandmates is arranging some kind of pool party tomorrow so it'll probably hit then. Ah well.

Hehe, just had a thunderstorm. I love them so much, but I also love rain... In some cases more than the sun... I am odd like that.

i love the cold and rain. im always the last one to don a jacket, fleece or coat for the winter months and even tehn youl often see me in a shortsleeve shirt in the middle of winter when there is ice on the ground.

then again i do measure the temperature by the colour of my hands (purple means put a jacket on) so that may have something to do with it.

Spring weather in Texas gets us this:

Sorry for the low quality, the good camera was out in my truck, and I wasn't about to go out into the storm for it. That is a US quarter in that picture for reference, roughly the diameter of a golf ball.

And this is why we love wokka. :D

The weather's been fairly nice where I'm from, but I'm several thousand miles from you guys and pretty far northwest of wokka, so my contribution is irrelevant. :P

Well the rain finally hit Southampton proper last night.
I was at an outdoor garden and pool party being held by a friend. They'd set up a rather ingenious system to heat the water and there was much beer and burger to be had.
Even in the rain.

Never been to Romsey meself, that said I've been on plenty of trains that would've wound up there had I stayed on them long enough.

Anyway, it's nice to see the weather has settled a bit after the rain and whatnot, though noticeably cooler than before.

Here's a picture of myself at the aforementioned pool party. It is every so slightly NSFW (men's nipples being as titillating as they can be these days) but, I feel, funny and light-hearted enough for posting.
