Creative world reopened

It's old but gold. If it could help you out we've probably chucked it in here.

Creative world reopened

Post by Zinrius » 07 May 2011, 10:26

Some of you may have noticed creative is closed. Well, lets say we're cleaning up a bit after a certain mess.

No worries! It should be back hopefully later on this evening!

--edit by wokka--

It's open, and I think I repaired all griefs. If you see an area that needs a restore, please let me know.

TNT has been disabled on creative.

Hmm two (that I know of) players banned for TNT griefing, shortly followed by this. Is the "mess" a giant crater by any chance?

Until further notice, TNT is banned from creative.

You know what they say: where there is smoke... there is fire (and maybe Blackadder).

But yeah, I thought this sort of thing was gonna happen. TNT and bedrock in Creative is just asking for trouble in my opinion. I espeically think TNT is bad because what incentive is there for some people to consider getting royalty for the Super Pickaxe when TNT makes quick work of the land just as well. Perhaps that's just me.

Super pick is for the convenience of destroying to build, not destroying to grief.

Yes, but TNT can be used to level large amounts of land to then build something on it. It is a tool, but like many things it can be used improperly just as well as it can be used correctly. Sadly whenever its used improperly it ruins the experience for others.

But you are right, if you're building something in creative and make some mistakes, the super pick axe is a great tool to remove blocks and try again.

Well, you got to donate for super pick, where just anyone can spawn tnt on the map. So griefers would have to donate just to break blocks a little faster. It almost defeats the purpose of griefing when you think about it. But, that is just my opinion.

I've seen the damage, as I logged out in creative before it was sealed. Suffice it to say that the term "catastrophic" doesn't even come close to covering it.

If this is about the narrow TNT crater I made relatively close to spawn (it has my name on it), I had plans for building in there. >_> But it's not "catastrophic".

No, but having nearly every project on the Creative map blown to hell and back most certainly is.

"Massive TNT griefing on multiple structures" suggests something along those lines.
But I'm planning on building housing in that hole, kind of like.. a fallout shelter, built quite literally from the ground up.
