Large, mostly flat area
Anyone seen one that's out away from other people? I have a project I'm doing that requires a 400x400 area. Any biome is fine.

400x400? You're gonna have to do some terraforming no matter where you put it. Might even be easier to cover up a lake and build on top.
You could check the map to find somewhere: http://wokka.org/mine/

I'd be careful of filling in a lake or something. That's what I did for a 64-block radius circle, and it was a real pain. You need a LOT of dirt, and the deeper the water is, the slower the process is.
At the end of the game, the king and the pawn go in the same box.

Just cover the top, then.Fenreil wrote:I'd be careful of filling in a lake or something. That's what I did for a 64-block radius circle, and it was a real pain. You need a LOT of dirt, and the deeper the water is, the slower the process is.

If you just cover the top, you can't dig down. Trust me, having hollow land is a pain in the ass.. Bron-Yr-Aur is built over a hell of a lot of old mines and caves and such, and it's almost impossible to build anything below ground. In the long run it's beneficial to make sure your land is solid.697134002 wrote:Just cover the top, then.Fenreil wrote:I'd be careful of filling in a lake or something. If the project doesn't involve any digging, like building a giant statue or something, there is no better spot than an iced over ocean. That's by far the largest flat area you're going to find that's ready for building on.
If you require any basements though, you're going to need to do a LOT of work on land instead. Building even a single basement over water is a colossal pain in the you-know-what.

But it's an ice temple, it would look so unappealing.697134002 wrote:But pumpkins don't.Zinrius wrote:vallorn wrote:hence Glowstone Afly. hence Glowstone...

Found one! It's a fairly large, mostly flat desert. And the best part, it's near my Fortress! Underground rail system ftw!

I will say this, if its in creative, and you want some terraformed land, or a lake filled over or in, let me know (if I'm not busy) and I'll do a quick edit for you.
Only on creative though
