Bomillio leaned over the desk and lowered his voice. "You helped me, I help you. That whole fight was chaos, people died, people lived. There's no way for me to prove you killed anyone. Of course, if any security cameras show otherwise, I wont be able to help you. Consider yourself lucky, Mr Barmaine."

Eric pulled the trigger, hitting a cop in the foot. Knowing that Lombardi would have his head on a platter if he took down the Angel, Eric simply retreated back. When he reached the streets, Eric rushed to his car, driving through a road block. He pulled the note out of his pocket and knew it wa smroe than a slip of paper, it was twenty-two hundred dollars.
Finally, he arrived at the scheduled meeting place, and stepped out of his car.

Lucia fired three times, each shot hitting a cop, each shot fatal. The cops fell quickly, but the Angel couldn't enjoy the small victory for long. She fired more shots, but it seemed like each shot, each time her ears rang, more appeared. They were everywhere. Suddenly, a small SWAT team flew through the window behind her, a helicopter rope dangling behind them.
"Shit, SWAT are here!" she screamed to Sergei.
Sergei spun and through his two knives, each bouncing off the SWAT shields. Lucia fired her shotgun, hitting one of them in the head. She continued this until there seemed to be just one man left. She raised her shotgun, fired, and fell forward.
A cop had leaped up behind her, tackling her to the ground. He smacked his head against her (-5HP), but fell backwards, two knives in his back.
Sergei stepped over the mutliple dead bodies, picked his knives up, and helped Lucia up.
"Thanks, uh..."
"Sergei."
"I'll be sure to tell Lombardi about what you did. That bastard, Eric, on the other hand..."

"This is the note?" Lombardi asked, as Eric anxiously handed the piece of paper over.
"The one and only..." Eric managed a nervous, fake chuckle. "It was tough getting it..."
"And you're sure nobody else saw it?"
"I don't think so, I mean, it's possible."
"Lombardi, this man is a liar. The note has been seen by at least one cop, and had it not been for me, it would be sitting in the evidence room of the Pandora Police Department."
Eric turned to see the Angel, standing by Sergei. When he turned back to Lombardi, the man looked ready to explode, but still spoke calmly.
"Mr Dakota, I do not like liars. I will pay you, as that is my promise, but you will never be given a job by me again. You understand?"
"But, Sir..."
"You better hope the police don't find out what we're really planning..." Lombardi ended with that, giving Eric the money, and leaving (+$2200).

"Leaf, you sure don't know Bormillio?" Luigi asked one last time.
"I swear, I don't know the bastard!"
"Bullshit! You know him, where is he?"
Leaf stepped up to Luigi. "Get out of my house, right now!"
"You were at the meeting with Nicolani and I, what the hell were you doing there?"
"I was trying to stop Nicolani!" Leaf said nervously. "He's an evil man! I volunteered for the job, had myself wired up to the police."
"That's a lie! You had other motives! You were being paid by Bormillio to keep an eye on me!"
"I don't know who this Bormillio guy is, but I've got nothing to do with him!"
Luigi turned his back to Leaf and grinned. "Then why were you at the club that night with him? When Nicolani's men started shooting the place up, you were standing, talking with him. It's no coincidence, Leaf. I know the truth. But I gave you your chance. You lied to me, and Nicolani will hear of this."
And with that, Luigi left.

Also, would it be possible to trade in the spiked knuckles for something like a butterfly knife, for throwing and melee? There's no way that a person could carry spiked knuckles as well, so I may as well get something out of it.

Yeah, sorry about the issues with how understandable it is. I'm sure you can all understand that it's hard to keep it simple when there are +10 main characters if you include NPC's.
Also, I have a nice idea I plan on rolling out in the next chapter regarding Bormillio's interrogations, but you'll hear more about that later.
I'll probably do a Z-Apocalypse post, then maybe after that I'll get a summary up.

Fred's a downright idiot. I thought you knew that by now. The main reason he thougth he could get them off your back, was because he thought it was a normal situation, where everything would die down.
But because of Christian's constant search for you, the whole police department are looking for you now, even though he's done.

Last Time...

After the incident on the bridge that resulted in Daniels being shot, Bormillio was assigned a new partner, Christian Galitsky. Despite his less than kind attitude to Galitsky, the tw odid their job, and were assigned a first case.
A factory, owned by Talbeno, had been burnt down, with the owner claiming it was the work of Elias Kindig. After heading to Kindig's empty house, the two found a number of leads, which led them to a large building in the city, where a function, possibly involving Kindig, was being held.

After completing his first job for Turner, burning down Talbeno's factory, Elias finally reached the day where he became a made man. He, Joe and a number of the other Turners, as well as Alfred Turner himself, showed up for the ceremony.
But it didn't quite go as planned. Luis Alejandros, who Elias had asked to wait outside and watch for any danger, quickly informed Elias that the two cops, Bormillio and Galitsky, were on their way into the building.
The Turners prepared for a fight, and waited for the knock.

But the Turners weren't the only people loading their guns for the cops.
Christian Galitsky, on the way to the function, found the note in his pocket, the note that the two men earlier had killed for.
Galitsky and Bormillio read through it, trying to put some context around it.
'The job is to be done ASAP. Gaines will be in the city for at least another month, possibly more. Don't leave it that long. V tried to fuck with me, don't do the same. As soon as this is over, I'll see that he gets what he deserves.

They worked out L was likely Lombardi, and V was probably Vincarto, but couldn't be sure.
Upon reaching the function, Galitsky and Bormillio were shot at immediately by the Turner's. Elias was shot in the shoulder in the chaos, but not too severely.
Fortunately for the cops, they managed to arrest Alfred Turner, among others, but unfortunately, things quickly got out of hand.

Lombardi, desperate to get his note back before his entire plan was ruined, sent a number of people after Galitsky, including Eric Dakota and his partner James, the men that had already chased Galitsky, Sergei Koslov and Lucia Russo.
After Eric spotted Galitsky, he quickly let everyone know where the man was, as was his job. He did, however, not plan on anyone else getting to Galitsky. If he and James brought the note to Lombardi, they'd been promised $2200 to share.
Koslov arrived, and the three men surveyed the firefight in the building. Not knowing what to make of it, they decided to go in, and found Galitsky alone in the main function room.
Galitsky, who recognised Eric and James immediately, held his hand out the window, the note threatening to fall if he was shot.
Koslov, however, shot anyway.
Galitsky was hit in the chest, but before the note could fall to the police below, Lucia had burst in, leaping out of the window, grabbing the note, and landing on a rooftop nearby.

That moment, a group of cops burst into the room, shooting James, but not fatally.
Eric and Segei managed to escape, but James was left with the police.
Sergei headed to help Lucia, as did Eric, but when a situation came up where Eric had the note, and could easily make a quick getaway, he did.
Eric made it to Lombardi's to collect his money, but Lucia, who had escaped with the help of Sergei, followed, telling Lombardi of Eric's betrayal.
Lombardi paid Eric, but told him he would never give him a job again.

Meanwhile, Bormillio, having made sure Galitsky was sent to hospital, interrogated Alfred Turner and Joe Barmaine, deducing that Elias did in fact burn down the factory, but that Talbeno might be in some trouble too. He also found that Lombardi had some sort of plan, but Alfred Turner either didn't know what it was, or didn't plan on saying much.
Feeling sympathy for the guy, and knowing that he himself had done much worse, Bormillio only put a charge of assault against a police officer against him, not murder.

At the same time, Luigi Lamborghini paid a visit to Leaf, asking for his help in bringing down Bormillio. Leaf, who had great loyalty to the cop, refused, assuring Luigi that he didn't know the man. He did this multiple times, but Luigi remembered that Leaf had been at the club and at the meeting with Nicolani, and that none of it could be a coincidence.
With that, Luigi left, threatening to tell Nicolani about Leaf's lies.

And so, with the corruption and crime spreading even further, we begin chapter four...
