My only criticism is the hand - I reckon bring it up out of the ground more, and change the complexion. Otherwise, I'd by that. Or at least download it illegally :)
It's just detail traced over Alfycon's pic. If I were doing it myself I'd have reworked the composition, and fixed the perspective. And probably also gotten some reference for the fist. As for the complexion; I dunno why I picked blue, probably just to have it contrast with all the brown in the scene. It definately wasn't for realism.

Blue fists are all the rage these days.

I love how you 'just' made this, like it's no big deal. It looks amazing - just fix up the things you mentioned.

Sidenote: how long did that take, and what software do you use? And mouse, or stylus?

About 30-45 minutes, and for me that's not that long. A proper painting takes at least 2 hours, sometimes 6+ if I'm adding a lot of detail. So, yeah, a quick paintover of somebody else's design isn't too big a deal. If you wanna see what I can do when i put more time in check out my portfolio page:

*edit* Just realized my blog contains minor world 4 spoilers, so I removed the link. Sorry *edit*

I do all my drawing in Photoshop Elements 5.0, which is a cheaper, less fancy version of Photoshop CS, but it has most of the same features. I use an A6 (that's roughly 4"x6" for you crazy yanks) Bamboo Wacom tablet. It's tiny, it's cheap (well relative to most tablets) and it's lacking a bunch of features. But it gets the job done, and I prefer it to many of the larger tablets I've used; I like being able to get from one side of the canvas to the other without moving my wrist. The nib on the pan I got with it is also indestructable; I've never had to change it in 4 years of pretty much daily use.

Well, I'm gonna have to pick up one of those. I'll start doing computer art too! Whoo! Well, I already use AI, but that's different...

You probably get bored of the compliments, but that's pretty incredible. Make a progress video of one of your artworks!

Not "bored" I appreciate it every time it happens, however I do take them with a grain of salt. It's very easy to get compliments from some people, especially on the internet, and it's even easier to become complacent because of them. Besides; counting from GSCE art I'm been doing this for 6 years of education and a lifetime of personal practice, a certain level of proficiency is to be expected at this point. I've still got a long way to go to reach my goal of being able to do this professionally.
