dead island
This is my personal revew on dead island. I refuse to spoil anything but i must say that it is definately worth the 60 bucks it costs. I bought the game last friday and still have yet to beat the main story. i highly reccomend this game however, its not for the squeamish or the faint of heart. it involves some amazing grafics and an amazing realism to the zombie apocalypse. it has some unrealistic areas but other than that, the game is amazing, buy it, play it, enjoy it for years.
This may also be used as a topic for dead island for anyone who may need help or just want to chat about this amazing game.

Re: dead island
Yes I've had this game for a week now and it is superb. I haven't finished the main storyline as of yet but it is great so far. The graphics are quite nice and realistic looking. It is still a bit buggy and the jumping doesn't look a bit attractive sometimes. The head chopping and stomping is quite enjoyable and fun. The beaches are also very well detailed and nice. Overall Dead Island is an enjoyable game and I recommend it.

Re: dead island
Can you do split-screen co-op on the PS3 with it?

Re: dead island
i wouldnt know for sure.. i have it for the xbox 360 and that said it had split screen but it lied. we searched for hours but got nothing but system link. I know its a little disappointing, so many games don't have local coop these days.
Re: dead island
Quick question. Is it a basically a CoD game reskin with l4d2 style zombies? Or is it actually a good, unique AND BALANCED game like most people say it is?

Re: dead island
random, i wouldnt consider it cod style more of a fallout open world game. its nothing like l4d2 at all.. it takes much more skill than aming and praying

Re: dead island
Plus, it's more melee combat based. The only CoD-esque thing I can think of in it is the Perks, but that's more like the Skyrim setup anyways.
I'm not sure if I'll be getting this game or not. Not having local co-op is kind of a deal breaker for me, since the main reason the game interested me was that I thought my dad would like playing it with me. Guess we'll just go back to Resistance 2 co-op.

Re: dead island
for those who play it and say its not that interesting, you just have to play for awhile, it gets much more in depth after the beginning. and even then, beating zombies to death in the beginning is still really fun.

Re: dead island
Beating zombies to death is always fun. So is decapitating them. Or blowing them up. Or killing them with fire.

Re: dead island
Pretty much imagine this. Borderlands and Left 4 Dead put together. Nuff said.
Re: dead island
I was kinda unsure about this game as i really did not like Left 4 Dead very much. But this? it almost seems like Oblivion or Borderlands but with more zombies. I think i might actually get this...
I then heard from a friend that EVERY SINGLE STORE in the county is out of stock. talk about a sleeper hit eh? i really did not think the game would do that well. I guess i'll just play Gears 3...

Re: dead island
Well, the game has gotten a lot of publicity from their original trailer and from the Yogscast and other commentators.
