Complaint

It's old but gold. If it could help you out we've probably chucked it in here.

See what your all missing here is that not everyone has 15 hours of time to waste. Some of our players are mature players who have to work long hours and support a family and can't just sit on mine craft for hours on end think about it. A guy could possibly get an hour of mine craft in a day or every other day that's going to take him 15-30 days just to get vet, who wants to waste up to a month of there life just to be able to play with redstone? I sure as hell wouldn't, If I was faced with that dilemma I'd find a server that didn't do that and stay there instead. Instead of seeing this as FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF MOAR GRIEF!1#!!!, see it as an opportunity to meet more players and being able to build stupid redstone contraptions with newer players

While I do agree with both sides here. That is the worst counter-point ever wtd... It's everyones server, and just a frustrating to see grief as it may be for you guys to fix it all the time.

I don't see it making a significant increase in grief, but do wish that this new cap was slowly went to, maybe from 25 and then eventually to 15.

In a little over a week we are going to begin having in influx of new players on the server. The reason behind this is that our first video will be airing on the Escapist and will be viewed, on average, 200,000-400,000 people. Exciting times.

Also, I had a dream that I responded to this.. Unless I actually did, in either case. I revise what I said and choose to see how this works.

My 2 cents.

35 hours was a long time. I started growing antsy at about 25 hours. By that point i had built up my house and my surroundings in my land claim. I hung on because of the project i was working on caught my interes,t as I had not met anyone at that point. Only after becoming a vet did I actually start to get to know people on the server.

griefers will either come in two varieties i think. Either they will hit the server be an a-hole and get banned almost immediately or play awhile, maybe even long enough to achieve vet, then get bored and grief a bit because they cease to care anymore. Either way the time required will not affect the grief. We have active and efficient mods that respond quite quickly to a grief and that is enough to control the worst behaviors.

I think lowering it is a good thing.
