Favourite weapons and loadouts
What are your favourite class customisation options?
As an engineer, I personally prefer the 870MCS with SABOT rounds and a holographic, since it means you are less hopeless at medium to long range, whilst retaining a degree of close-quarters prowess.

Re: Favourite weapons and loadouts
Yeah, the Gun Club weapons are pretty powerful. In fact, most of the handguns are pretty good, but I don't know about the SV98 since I don't really play recon.

i did that this morning. it was fantastic.wokka1 wrote:wait, can you kill with the defib now?

im a fan of getting a support to drop an ammo box next to me on one of the urban maps and raining fiery death upon my foes with a rocket launcher at choke points.
and Wokka the Defib has been a weapon for the last few games now. in fact in BC2 you could kill people with the repair tool! (and there was a Trophy/ ach' for getting a headshot with it)

Ah, "The dentist" achievement. Good times. On another note, I've been enjoying the PP-2000. Is it just me or does it seem more powerful than the Beta one?
Also, for fellow engineers, unlike BFBC2 Helicopters can be repaired whilst in flight. Osiriss2 and I found this out during a game of conquest while we had an invincible Little Bird, raining death on all of the objectives.

it didn't do anything to enemies in the beta, glad to see they brought that back in the releasevallorn wrote:i did that this morning. it was fantastic.

the helicopters seem more annoying to dive than the ones in BC2. in BC2 i was quite proud of my flying skills but in BF3 i look like a drunk pilot... its not as funTyreseEngineer wrote:Ah, "The dentist" achievement. Re: Favourite weapons and loadouts
Eh, I actually find it easier- In BC2 I couldn't fly for more than thirty seconds without a spectacular crash, but now I am relatively good. That said, without IR Flares for the airborne vehicles, the FiM and the (Insert Russian SAM here) seem quite overpowered.

Re: Favourite weapons and loadouts
I'm a pretty good jet pilot, but I just feel so worthless to the team while flying around up there. I'm just sticking to non-vehicle combat.

i now use a semi auto sniper with no scope and headshot people from accross the map with it (yay Spot!)
i named my gun FALius
also i still say the suppressed M1911 is beastly.

I absolutely love the SCAR. Put it on semi-auto and have a reflex sight on it, amazing.

I unlocked the IR sight for the SCAR, and I think I'm in love. Also, rushing tanks with my little repair bot is absolutely hilarious. And effective.

Everytime I pick up an L85 I timagine that in my opponents Xbox's a little bell begins to toll...
I'm doing pretty damn good on BF3 at the moment: best class now is Assault using L85A2 w/ Grip and Torch. Then a Glock 18 for secondary and medi-kit/defib for my equipment.

It's hilarious to cover the front of a jeep in C4, and then crash into an enemy tank. True story.

Re: Favourite weapons and loadouts
What a waste of a helicopter!! And to hit with a jet would be tricky :S You'd have to detonate just before it hits the target, otherwise it'd all just blow up without doing any damage, surely?
Re: Favourite weapons and loadouts
choppers are best when there are objectives in the open. the trick is to load it up with teammates while you place C4 around it.luke2006 wrote:What a waste of a helicopter!! then fly it at the objective before it hits jump out and detonate it. because friendly fire is off it will kill or damage any enemies nearby making them easy prey for your disembarking teammates and chopper's gunners.

Ok, the 870 with FRAG rounds is the weapon of the gods! Seriously, good at close range, you can use it like a slug round and go long range, it's amazing!
