In other news people are wanted to help make the 'PRSR' continental railway across fyra.
If anyone wants to help faff about for a bit then start awkwardly placing tracks over-land and to aslo help dig out one LONG ASS TUNNEL, then please PM me. Also please try to be Aus time friendly, really cant be bothered to work around large timezones

I don't think we should do a tunnel, i think it would be more fun to make it above ground so that you can see the scenery.

This has already been discussed between Volstag and I. The route the rail will take is already (somewhat) planned.
If you want to see details ill shove it i this spoiler (cause a lot of details)

OK our plan is to branch an elevated railway off from the Lucky38/Las Doshgas system, making it lead across the half-stone bridge that is used to get to Luck 38. The rail will then dive into an island bellow the huge fighter jet (the one next to the bridge). The rail will then (HAVE) to tunnel (straight) underneath a large amount of water and rough terrain (cliffs, mountains, ect) because overland rail here would be a pain in the ass (based on fyra maps). About 3/5ths of the way the rail will surface near a large frozen lake and then start to zig-zag its way towards Port Royal. It will connect to a designated Port Royal station. Using the PR local subway system (or a new line to cut through the system) the rail will stop at PR main station (Kings station) from there a short trip will be made via rail (completed) to the Twisted Twin Towers! (during the tunnel mod help will be needed to cut through the main eastern line cubeoid)

also, I got skyrim too, so it is going to be difficult to divide my time. Oh and i got Saints row 3, i have never played any saints row, so i don't know what it'l do.

Thought about it. Although there is a major gamble.
If we build through the nether that will require extensive tunneling and bridging through the nether and over lava. It will also require all tracks to have walls and a roof to protect the rails from said lava and ghasts. In the long run the Nether may end up being more work than just doing it through Fyra.

Although if about 2 of you will care to help, we could probably 'research' the nether option to be able to see if it IS a better option or not. Soooo
Do i have ANYONE willing to help me with the rails? Nether-wise or Fyra-wise?

EDIT: Also just remembered we dont have a map of the nether. Therefore we would be digging blind (only having coords to guide us) Idk, what do you people think? Go through the nether and have the rail 8(?) times shorter but go through possibly a LOT more work. Or go over, across and under Fyra while knowing exactly how much work we need to do

As the keeper of the PR section of Rails (Cause I built them, duh!), I say we do it overland through Fyra. It will be much prettier and just easier to do then dig blindly through the Nether, which also requires people to use Nether Portals.

I'm just going to say that i think Nether rails are kind of a bad idea IMO. It will be hell trying to deal with the Ghasts and other stuff.

Just a quick update to what happening around Solar City.
Due to THE MINECRAFT DEVS being a bunch of pants-on-head-retards and changing the direction in which the sun sets, i was able to move (Thanks to Mkindy) Nart's Sunburn lounge to a new 'sunnier' location. I am also doing renovations to my own house there and we are still ever expanding! Ill be back on a bit more frequently now and if i spot any of you USSRians on ill draft you to help me on our fyra rail project!

Just curious, are you guys still planning on building a railway system? I know I'm not part of the USSR, but I happen to have a few stacks of rail lying around from when I built my own rail system that I don't need if you want them. I don't mind sharing with my neighbors!
